Before a friend began posting her eggs here, she was displaying just the link to her scroll. This resulted somehow and completely unintentionally in skewing the amount of clicks/views/unique views.
If what we read in the FAQs is correct, there are reports on the Dragon Cave forum FAQs of other ill messages, eg "squishy."
By properly displaying the egg/hatchling icons so that the icons are clicked, the critters should hatch normally and in good health.
My current batches are light on clicks & views so it may very well be they may not hatch before their hatching period is done.
That said, from all I've been able to determine thus far, it's entirely possible for eggs and/or hatchlings to simply die for no apparent reason. On the other hand, I've seen eggs hatch with literally minutes left on their 7 day timer.
Since forums are pretty slow, and lord knows I need something to do at work, I figured I'd join you guys since I've been clicking away and helping you hatch yours...
I'm clickin', Littleblue! It was looking pretty grim for my fresh hatchlings with 0.33 days left but they pulled through! My two silvers aren't looking nearly so promising.
*heads back & clix all the way back as far as page 1*
I wonder about that stuff, too, Lucretia. Though the official forum is decidedly against giving anything away, since we appear to be having a fair success rate, it would certainly seem that we're doing okay with just us clicking each others' eggs/hatchlings.
I'm guessing it's a combination of views/unique views and hits together with a preset time factor which determines whether an egg will hatch or hatchling will mature.
