double clienting

Now there is a well known program that will allow you to use 2 accounts at once, being KoC we of course arent allowed to use said program nor any other illegal things. So, assuming that I have windows XP , which allows you to have multiple windows accounts running at the same time, can a GM tell if im double clienting using the illegal program vs the legal way of double clienting(again, assuming that is the legal way of double clienting)

i'm not really sure their methods, but having a different user name wont change anything, its not like it alters your IP or anything. So id say it wouldnt matter what you did , unless you have a spoofer that can fake something like that, this is of course just for entertainment value, I would never consider doing this as is it highly illegal.

it doesnt involve and 3rd party programm to do it, however its still not allowed to run multiple client on the same computer. why that is the case i honestly dont know, because having more than one computer, its completely legal to run more than one client.

about them being able to track things, im sure they could check who uses what programms. there are only two problems:
1. is are they allowed to scan your computer like that?
2. do they want to know who runs it and have to terminate the 10$/month?

xp allows you to hot key switch between windows user accounts, but you can only see one account at once. It has been stated that this is considered within the rules to do.

Two people on 2 pcs through the same router would also share an ip address. Terry and I do that. We're each playing our own game on our own pcs on different UO accounts. So two connections, or even more in the case of a family, from one ip address is fine.

Someone I know uses his lap top to rescue his char if he gets in trouble. Again 2 pcs, 2 UO accounts in use.

I don't know, but I believe methods of achieving two clients within the same windows environment involve 'fooling' the client. Such tampering, I've been led to believe, is detectable.

my understanding is you cant have 2 clients running under the same windows user. and or logged int the same client. the reason for this is its easy to crash people and dupe items or used to be with double clienting

what does a new computer and a router cost these days, even a used computer for a couple hundred dollars and you don't have to worry about switching accounts or anything.

right now I have 4 computers I can access just by swiveling my chair, and I only run one account , heh
