[Gardening] Does it matter which is the daddy plant?

K I FINALLY got a red, yellow & blue catus plant... workin on grownin them

I know u take one of those seeds & it makes a spider tree (least thats whats been said here)

I know u cross the red with the blue to make pruple

but does it matter which u start the cross with? Like if i make the red one the starter plant to breed with the blue... ( I know u can keep the starter plant the daddy as it were, & keep reusing him to pollinate) would the color be different if i used the blue as the starter?


hope all that makes sense cuz as i reread it, i got lost lol . Im new to the whole cross breedin thing, I usually just grow them or buy what i need. so please bear with me

If one is red and one is blue you'll always get purple, no matter which one is the mom or the dad.

I guess tossing plant seeds instead of bird seeds would be too much like child abuse?
