Does Anyone Own a Black Forest Ostard?

About five years ago now when I returned to UO after a long absence, I had a black forest ostard. I released it not realizing they didn't spawn anymore. I'm just wondering if anyone out there happens to have one still? My guess is that if anyone happens to have one they are one of the rarest pets in the game.

I only remember frenzied ostards being shadow hued, I can't say that I've ever seen a black forest ostard.

Ya, there were black forest ostards. They weren't dead black like a dread warhorse, but they were a rich, almost purple black if I remember correctly. Even back when they spawned though, they were rare and took some effort to find.

That is a frenzy ostard not a forest ostard.
the links show graphics for both clients you will noticed that the EC client graphics shows you that you have a frenzy ostard.

your correct was the frenzy not the forest. I have one on an account thats off right now I tamed it about 5 years ago.

You can tell that it's frenzied due to the tail.

Ya, it had been so long since I looked at them, I couldn't tell. There are shadow hued frenzieds, but they aren't the same as the old black forest ostards. The old black forest ostards were darker.

Well I'd say "if only", but if they could still be tamed, I wouldn't care about them... So it's a catch 22...
