Do you use Stratics' Invisible Mode?

I noticed something about Stratics' Invisible Mode.

When you go to your control panel > Settings & Options > Edit Options, you are given the option to use Invisible Mode. It says, "Invisible mode allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists."

I use Invisible Mode most of the time and they are right, my name doesn't show up in the currently active users' lists.

I copied and pasted a post into WordPad, because I wanted to be able to refer back to it. In looking over what I had pasted, I noticed it gives the current status of the user who made the post. I shows either online, offline or invisible.

Pfft. I guess I may as well go uncheck that box.

This is the information it displays about me -

I thought someone else out there might like to know that anyone's status can be check on. Come to think of it, maybe most of you already knew this and I was the only one in the dark. =)

So, I take it that if I leave the little box checked and remain invisible, no one besides Stratics officials and I will see "BlissMarie is invisible" when viewing the source. That's the way I thought it was originally. That's encouraging. I will remain in stealth mode. =)

I suspect you'd be hidden to some staff - content editors and reporters, for sure. Not sure about mods. Admins will be able to see you.

This has always been my question. I certainly don't care either way, but never understood the desire/need. I guess I have never been so popular or sought after for any reason to need to go invisible.
