Do you still need to join thief guild to steal on Siege?

Any vet thieves out there can verify? I am making my toon today and wanted to know how so after I make him can I actually start playing him ie: Steal etc.?

I'm not a thief but I am sure you do need to join - 500 gold I think with few restrictions

If you plan to be a faction thief, crate thief, etc, those can be played without joining the thieves guild. To steal from players, you must be in the thieves guild. You can also join and leave the thieves guild as you wish. Keep in mind that you cannot give murder counts while you are a member.

Ok Do I still I need to wait 48 hours to join, and if I am in the thieves guild does that prevent me from joining a player made guild?

I'm not sure about the 48 hour wait, but it wont hurt to find a Thief Guildmaster and try. The Thieves Guild will not prevent you from joining a player run guild.

by the way.... there are no thieves on siege
but those thieves that dont exist?
