Do you play a Warrior or Archer & get kills..

Do you play a Warrior or Archer & have a hell of alot of fun racking up kills all over Felucca or do you die all day on your Mage while claiming your keyboard mashing superiority? I hate to be the one to have to break this to ya but it is one or the other folks.

I was always under the impression that games were to be played for fun. But I just dont see what fun Mages are having. 98% of them are dying all day long and ranting like lunatics about templates and weapons and arrows and dragons and bla bla bla. They are paying $13 a month to cry. Thats fun? Ouch!

I personally know a fair number of Mages that have been doing this for up to 10 years solid. Throughout all 10 years they have been dying to 'lesser' players on a regular basis and yet they keep on playing.
These 'superior' Mages were even dying back in the good ol days of 5/6 casting. Are you kidding me?

I just wanted to post this to give a shout out to all you hardcore Mages that keep on filling my bank with insurance gold. I am feeling your pain and I can certainly respect your determination. One day things have got to get better.

Heres hoping the next 10 years are filled with Archery & pet nerfs. (just like the last 10 were doh!)

it's all about the Archers and dexxers in Fel.
even Necromages barely have a shot without the most top ot the line suit.

I don't mind though Goldberg.
Mages can really buff and group though. they're just 2 diff types of chars
with pros and cons. 1v1 can be real tough on a mage, but in a group they really shine.

I play to have fun...... which means I pay to Role-play...... I could care less about PvP in Fel..... though I have spent time in Fel PvPing..... Yes a Role-player can PvP..... I don't take counts but then I am a Knight and I kill REDS... Not interested in anyones crying/whinning or complaining..... Nerf this nerf that.... get a new template and learn to adapt...

Most times it's not the other players that is the problem.. It's that other refuse to get with the times. I've never "Finished" any character... Like my RL self my characters always are growing and learning...

I'm beginning to believe that the only folk left in this game are the absolute diehards (like myself), Scammers, Hackers, Scripters, Ghosts (folk who keep their account alive but NEVER log in), and crybabies. Makes for a very UGLY combination.

I play both my mage and my dexer quite often and find that i get way more kills than deaths on both. My red dexer keeps people sitting in guard zones or spamming 0oo0o000o or my blue scribe mage chases people for a while until they feel tough and die from 1 good combo. Dexer or mage both chars can fight either without a problem. Throw in tamers then w/e invis on the mage, run around a corner on dexer and hide (human 20) or invis pot. Mage wep mages, disarm. Get wrestle or a wep with disarm and then you'll never miss them with a hit even with their 45dci. What shard do you play on? i might have to pay you a visit when i get the time

I don't play a mage I prefer a nox fencer in pvp but can use any weapon skill.

I will tell you right now though. If your good on a mage you don't die all day. I knew a few guys who were practically unstoppable on a mage because they were good on a mage.

If you die all day as a mage time to change your play style because you just don't have what it takes to play one. Same goes for all templates. Find one you can play and are actually good at using and use it don't play something you can't use claim your the best on that template and get pwned consistently then blame it all on some problem with the game

I can kill most dexxers on my mage (not the dog ones though when im dismounted) and the only archers that are really a problem are the ones that hit me for 50 (70 phy too) and spam mortle with a balanced bow, oh and most if not ALL of the archers I try to kill won't stop running, so I usually just flee due to boredom of chasing some archer all day so I guess they call that owning a mage?

I find mages fun, and archers kind of boring and dexxers useless since they have no DS to kill the running archers lol.

If you think Archery is not over powered then their is something wrong with you! They've nerfed all skills pretty much for ten years, not just archery and taming lol.

If you think Archery is not over powered then their is something wrong with you! They've nerfed all skills pretty much for ten years, not just archery and taming lol.

Archery is not overpowered & from your posts I have to say that you seem to be a prime example of the historical nerf-begging Mage. I remember all Mages begging for nerfs even when they were 5/6 casting. If there was one template that gave them a tiny bit of trouble they screamed for a nerf lol. When 5/6 casting was rampant you still rarely saw alot of other templates crying for Mage nerfs. But give a warrior anything and every Mage in the world will come to these boards and yell forever. Mages still cry about Dp. For the love of God are you kidding me? They can basically negate a ton of skillpoints by carrying a sack of orange pots & they still cry. Aww, does Dp not cost alot of mana? What about the Curse spell? Want to talk about gigantic ramifications and like 0 mana, plz!

And btw my OP was not claiming that there were not other nerfs son. It was just a fun reminder that Mages have been screaming for Archery nerfs for over 10 years regardless of how weak or strong the skill was. Most people picked up on the humor. Mages will never be happy unless they have the only viable ranged attack in the game. Kinda sad.

I can careless if they nerf archers I kill more archers than archers kill me, Once in a while an archer gets a lucky 2 mortle, 3 concs off, but hey I probably red lined that archer 4 times before he got me, it's just you buggers are so fast when you are getting damaged! It's hard for me to catch up and Finnish the job before your band aid goes off. I don't know who still cries about DP, but yea I agree with you LOL at them.

And I didn't play during 5/6 casting so..... DUNNO!


But you have to admit, 35 damage on a BASE hit is just a little bit ridiculous, Not to mention the 8 damage hit spell that comes after! Other than that who cares, they will nerf archers and another template will become gimp, I quit worrying about skills and just play the game.
