Do you Bio?

I am a compulsive bio reader ... and if you write something that intrigues me, I am likely to send you a message saying so.

Do you read random bios? Only the ones of an avatar who looks intriguing? Never? Only by accident? And if you do read them ... do you write the person who wrote the bio to tell him/her/it so? Do you consider yourself a good bio writer? Do you have a line or phrase you include on all your character's blurbs? Or do you leave yours blank and enigmatic?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I tend to read them when things are quiet, or when I meet a person who may seem like they could become a friend. Also when I am working next to somebody(s), then I will look too.

Some of the bios are incredibly creative and funny

I will while skilling to pass the time, even though I am one who hates to update mine, which is why I created SAUTSB.

Generally when i'm entering a house. For the most part it tells you how the house will be! I mean, for me anyways.

I read bios of strangers quite often. I'm terrible about remembering to read bios of my friends. They always have to ask me to read them if they change something. I am terrible at writing my own bio and rarely change it.

When I skill I am usually here, so no. I don't. However, when I host I always do. As soon as they land or as I serenade them. As for a phrase, of course I do and it's on my main 2 Sims.

Do you read random bios? Not usually, no.
Only the ones of an avatar who looks intriguing? Never? Only by accident?
Only if the avatar does something that intrigues me and I want know more about them.
And if you do read them ... do you write the person who wrote the bio to tell him/her/it so?
Only if it interests me enough to know more about the person.
Do you consider yourself a good bio writer?
Hmmmmm good question - what is a good bio writer.....?
Do you have a line or phrase you include on all your character's blurbs?
I try and make it specific to that role playing sim and what their job/goals are. I always put that I am an adult, just so there is no confusion lol!
Or do you leave yours blank and enigmatic?
Nope I have to have something written on my all my avatar bios - there are many bios out there that are dull and boring, we need to spice them up!

I think its more curiosity........and u know what that did to the cat....!

Do you consider yourself a good bio writer? Definitely not, but one time a chick copied my bio *almost* word for word. That was funny.

I get bored just being there. so I go thru bios and I make comments in room chat trying to get people to talk . but bios like "mom is lil red.dad is stinkybob3454 member of the mafia for life -married to bob1 bobguy and bobby "make my eyes glaze over.

I change my Bio a lot

Yes, I read them.

The ones with "I love [insert name here] forever" and that, doesn't interest me though. Those bios are really, really boring.
Don't they know they love each other without making a note of it?

Stuff I write on my bio:
- Use it to scribble down all sorts of nonsense and current events, what I'm doing at the moment and so on. Pretty much useless stuff that's just fun to write there
- Information, such as statistics I've collected (how much an average pizza game pays for me, how much money I've made every time I've gone to my job and stuff that might be interesting to know for someone). I like statistics.
- Advertising
- Sometimes some nice quotes, jokes etc
- Sometimes I don't feel like having anything there in particular, so I erase that changing part

I don't comment on other people's bios.

I'll read bios while I'm skilling. The ones that say I love so and so are cute I think.

The ones I think are worst are the ones that say....

Oh I love to read bios. I often send messages out as well to those that I agree with, or I think are really cute or whatever.

Yup, once I get settled into whatever lot I've landed on, I compulsively read each and every bio. Ok, I admit I skim the mafia ones and the overly mushy madly in love bios, but I do look!

If someone has a particularly clever one I'll either pm them or say something in roomchat to get a conversation going. And yes, I think I write a good bio.... currently the bears is the most interesting, I need to work on the others, but I haven't been playing them much.

Yep, love looking for good bios.

I agree, the family thing bores me.

I tend to put humerous poetry (clean) in mine. Sometimes original, often from one of my favorite non-sense authors.

I'm an avid bio reader - I usually read someone's bio as they land on the lot.
When I see a great bio, I'll usually comment in room chat rather then send them a private message.

I've had the same bio for years now, I don't change it because I find its a great conversational starter. So much so, I've copied to to several of my sims. I frequently get PMs commenting on it, or sometimes in roomchat. I've met some really cool people over the years from a conversation that started with "I love your bio".

I never read bios and I used to put 'retrieving...' for the nosey bio readers so they think it's still loading. Now I just leave it blank. That annoys ppl too.

Ditto LOL. I read them when i'm skilling or when i'm at the store. I'm real bad as far as updating mine. I have one that has been there since April 2004. I remember a guy in AV who use to put a new riddle in his every week. They weren't easy either and he was so nice when you would IM him several times with answers. I guess that was about the best that I can remember.

Hi. I bio-read! I have ever since I started playing the Sims Online (yeeears ago)! It's definitely a habit; the split second I hear a doorbell sound, I find the newcoming Sim's face in the list of Sims at the bottom of the screen and *CLICK!*

It's fun. Many times I will let the person know that I like something in his/her bio. I don't consider myself a good bio writer. But I am planning on writing a funny one.

I liked a robot Sim's bio that had an FAQ with many questions related to the fact that he's a robot (but I forget examples). I think the FAQ is a fun idea for a bio.

The people who leave their bios blank for spaces and spaces, and then put some message on the bottom, well, those are sometimes good. I've seen someone's bio that had a message show up every so often when you scroll down, which kept me entertained. LOL

I love reading interesting bios, and I'm likely to stalk a player with an interesting bio and try to work up whether they're as interesting as their profile. I'm also guilty of bookmarking sims with mohawks hoping we share some common artistic interests XD

I usually have pretty random but interesting bios, but this time around, my bio is the Keats poem from which my character got her name. The Beautiful Woman Without Merci (La BelleDame SansMerci.) I think it suits me
