Do Throwing mage-weapons attacks benefit from Tactics skill?

I've made up a gargoyle Mage/Mystic and he carries a thrown mage-weapon. Do mage weapons benefit from the tactics skill?

tactics will increase your weapon damage but not allow the use of special moves unless you have the melee skill1 I would think it should be the same for a thrown weapon but not positive!
you could go over to test center and try it out!

Yeah, Storm's right. Works for throwing weapons, too. Currently building a tactics mage who uses a throwing weapon.

Thanks. I was wondering because the skill info page for Throwing made no mention of Tactics.
