Disco & Pet Training

My recently tamed Cu reached 90.0 Healing and, of course, stopped gaining. So I Discoed him (120 Disco) and tried a vast array of poison-wielding training partners (approx 100) and he gained all of 0.1 in Healing.

Before reaching 90.0 Healing, this Cu was gaining about 1.0 for every 30-40 White Wyrms. Shouldn't the Cu's 90.0 Healing be 64.8 after my 120 Disco? Shouldn't he gain like stink?

Am I mistaken or is something broken?

Nothing is broken, Cu's healing is notoriously hard to raise past 90 if you dont disco him he will not gain past 90 unless dp'd, when you disco him you need to be making your cu heal himself constantly poison or not he just needs to be applying the bandages. He will gain stick at it. (if you really get fed up then try the pixie trick at twisted (with disco you wont need the satyr))

Have you tried casting poison spell on him repeatedly? I got gains faster by casting than waiting for a mob to hit with poison. You need to keep the cu poisoned at all times to get the best effect.

I discorded my cu sidhe and its Healing stayed at 90.7, all the other skills dropped from GM to around 74.

It doesn't display the correct value, but the healing is discorded :)

Yes, they will gain healing to GM while discoed and much faster than using rotters. I don't worry about trying to make the dog gain when I'm retraining. I just disco it and go out and kill gamans and red healers (I do the Heartwood quest that requires items from them, I only do major gathering when I need to retrain a dog). By the time I've gathered a lot of horns and maps, my pet will be GM again if it's died repeatedly, recently.

Thanks all for the info and suggestions. We did eventually gain 1.1 in Healing. I must have been reacting to a whole load of bad RNGs!
