Disable the use of E.C in fel until it's out of beta

I think that people should not be allowed to use the E.C in fel as it gives an unfair advantage to dexxers.

The client is in beta and has issues that affect currently only mages, namely:

*Slower casting in effect (see more detailed posts/threads)
*No range check last target
*No ability to modify your own spell word colour to an opponents (causing great confusion that did not exist in CC)
*Broken last spell macro

However dexxers enjoy:

*ability to change to any number of weapons by the press of a button.

The recent action against non approved third party apps has bought this issue to the forefront as before, mages were able to keep up with dexxers on the enhanced client with speedhacks, however now they cannot and cannot convert to using E.C themselves

You wouldn't have discovered these discrepancies without access to the EC in Felucca. The purpose of beta is to work out bugs--hence, EC use in Felucca is indispensable. Accordingly, your suggestion does not strike me as a good solution.

True, but these issues have been about for a long time, and the devs have said themselves they're no longer working on E.C in the short term, too busy with AHS.

The actual shards are not a test ground, shove it back on test centre please.

Personally, I play a mage almost exclusively. I do play the EC exclusively. Though the majority of my playing is under a trammel rule-set - I'd rather not be limited and forced out of fel areas like the new SA champs. I'd say no to this idea.

ok, no EC in felucca, but Harrower, sop and sot greater than 0.5 comes in trammel.

mages are 100x more powerful then warriors you spend 360 points (legendary med mage and eval) vs dexxor 420 points (legendary swords tactics 90 heal 90 anatomy).

Mages also have 64 weps (spells) at there disposal all at the touch of a button

and lets not forget the biggest infraction mage weps yea lets toss the most powerful template in the game an extra 120 points for free and make them just as hard to hit as a regular (non parry non bushido ) dexxor. but yet spells never miss (exception evasion)

And then a Warrior with 120 Weapon Skill 120 Bushido and 90 Tactics off screens your spells with Confidence, Never Dies, and Hits you for 35 At a 20% Chance for 3 Mana a Piece.

It's interesting how personal preference morphs to intolerance of different opinions.

I cant play this game using the CC. My monitor is 1920x1200. Also the EC is generally a better experiencing for me.

I have two characters only (Siege)- a Mage and a Dexer. I get to choose which I play when I log in. I also have a choice of clients.

Guess what, you have exactly the same choices/
