Different spellings mean...anything?

I was digging through my house and found a "Candlabra Recovered from a Shipwreck"...misspelled like that. I've found others with "candleabra" and "candelabra"..just wondering if the people were drunk when coding these things or if one spelling make it more*special/rare/whatever* than the others.

Maybe they are programmers and not English majors. I always thought spelling was one of those subjects in elementary school that really wouldn't be that important in real life so I slacked off and luk at me know.
Seems like every patch there is a spelling correction. Really, who lost sleep because velocity was misspelled when you got hit by it.
