Dexer / PVP Question

I have no problems playing a dexer and I'm pretty well rounded on all pvp templates. But I've always had a problem on a dexer with targeting. I have always used target next to select the person I'm wanting to attack, and then I hit attack last and it attacks my target.
Is there any way to just attack the closet blue or red on screen, without attacking guild mates? Example say I'm playing a stealth dexer with detect and I reveal my enemy is there a way to instantly attack them without having to drag bar or target next? I figured maybe someone who primarily plays a dexer could answer this.

I think theres a select nearest (or was it next?) mobile function in classic client, or used to be.

So it's still two functions, select nearest and attacklast, but you could run it into one macro.

That's what I do, but I'm always accidentally targetting guildmates.

You can select nearest hostile, but that only works after they've flagged on you.

My Attack setup worked best for me because i was used to playing mage, so yeah.. Its like casting Weaken on someone.

Use Skill Anatomy : Target them (Cursor)

Attack Last Target

But yeah.. those other ones work too.. However the nice thing about this one ^ is that you wont ever randomly target someone you dont want to.

Yes, your macro will look like this:

Select nearest > Hostile
Attack Selected

thats it.

Now I'd set that up on one key, to defend yourself in town ( so you dont attack blues and NPC's and get whacked ) and I'd set up another button for this:

Select Nearest > Mobile
Attack Selected

That will attack anything next to you, birds, people, guildmates, etc... but if dexxer it isnt so much a problem, as you probably want to attack the nearest, or move in closer to them before pressing.

If you want to get more complicated, you can use Honor too:

Select Nearest > Mobile
Invoke Virtue > Honor
Wait for Target
Last Target
Attack Selected

Attack selected seems to work better than the other similar option on list 'Attack last target', so stay away from that one.
