Devs PLEASE ALLOW PLAYERS TO CHANGE PET SKILLS AT WILL ON TEST TC1 SHARD!!!!!

As the message says, it says it all. It is kind of a loud message since it is about time : The new Taming system is great and one of the best things for some time. Its a pleasure to tame different creatures and test their abilities etc. The testing on TC1 is awesome way to check new things, and saves time in the long run, assuming the program is the same as the production shards.
New Haven Gates : Bonding and Training are a huge bump to TC1 usefulness. However it would be much better for the player base and also the game overall if you put one or 2 or 3 SKILL GATES close by there
where a player can choose to increase a skill at will and see what happens.
This will uncover bugs, and prevent player resentment after they spent 400 M on scrolls, and now they wish they chose different skills etc?
Allow the PS as now at 105,110,115,120 etc, but when you go through the skill gate "POP" you completed that skill training for the pet. Instead of having to spend days rising the skill up on TC1.
What is wrong with placing skill gate?
Anyone else feels this would be great?
Do the Devs have any comments on this?
Thanks for reply

Why? when you can't do it in prodo, it would add confusion, just tame another one, lazy lazy person.

Mervyn, With all due respect please read and take time to process what the OP is saying.

Well last time i check in prod i couldnt set my skills by using commands lol. He has a very valid point. Its great i can test builds but we cannot test what they will be like after full training i.e 120 disco. No one wants to wast days on training up a pet on TC just to see how well it will perform.

Yep, thats the key point. Training a pet to 120 could take a long time and players would rather spend the time on prod, after they have tested different builds on test. Also there is no real reason to not put "skill gates" or other mechanism on TC1, and the coding and work of doing that is likely to be minimal, resulting in huge player satisfaction, and accelerated bug resolution, icluding bugs with different builds surfacing faster rather than 6 months down the line. I think skill gates would be a huge time saver, and should be put on Haven soon.
I think a player vote may help :Yes skill gates / No skill gates on TC1. And if people post may post a reason for yes or no.

Thanks for replying to this thread.

Yes sorry I completely misread, my apologies,
I agree with the OP.

I should first take the log out of my own eye, and then I will see clearly to take the speck out of my brother's eye. Mathew 7:5

I agree - in fact, this was exactly the point I logged in to make here and then saw this post - if player characters can instantly set skills on TC1 to test them, why not pets?

Not only should this be done ASAP, but it should be maintained and updated over time. Of course that will be a seperate project for the devs to do but certainly worth it. I can flat guarantee the useful data on pets the devs will gain from having everyone being able to test tons of combinations of pet skills on TC will be 'infinitely valuable' - and also save an incredible amount of development time going forward. Bugs and imbalances will become much clearer with something like this setup. Occasionally that will be an inconvenient burden on them, but mostly it would be an advantage.

I agree:
This was a massive upgrade to the game overall, not just taming. The game is definitely larger now and many old players are returning to the game, and there are more to come. A large update of this scale is bound to be largely live-tested, by both seasoned old players and the newcomer that are bound to find this game. There will be bugs and adjustments that may need to take place. Hopefully the players will undestand that there are some tweeks that will be needed over a period of time. It will take a little programing, and some value tweaking with a number of items, but at the end it will be more of a pleasure to play. The SKILL GATES placed by the devs on TC1 I think is the first step that needs to be done as soon as possible.
