However, you took on and added too much and nullified the new loot system so drastically... its not worth much.

Reforging has taken full hold of Atlantic and so has bribes.

Sorry but 100's of pieces of armor with 150, 180 luck. Good stats. Not imbued yet what ever that means. All other kinds of reforged stuff.

Dozens of shield reforged soul charge, reactive paralyze, high defense chance and more. Not cursed.

14 valorite hammer for 14 million each.

Sorry... but all your effort to enhance game play will be shortly undermined in about 2 more weeks.

For 10 to 20 million, I will be able to get best of everything offered. Thats not fun.

By then the flood of hammers, reforged items will be cheaply had.

I don't really have a suggestion and think you put in a lot of work. This case too much change really wiped out the new loot system.

I personally think they should just start over with the items. Like a new AOS expansion, where everything that came before is made useless and a new system takes over.

And design it right this time, so we don't have powercreep every time. Its not a good system when everyone can have every property they want capped out.

The issue is the aos loot system itself... we didn't need all of these properties, they've made Ultima about numbers, not skill.

This! ^^^ Much as I hate to admit it because I have adored collecting 100% weapons... I'm fed up with having to redo my suit's all 56+ of them everytime someone gets a wild hair on the DEV team...

Why do we have to make things so ridiculously complicated?

It does make me wish Draconi's idea had caught on. He was for less mods etc. He was the reason HCI went away from shields because it "made no sense for that propety to be on them to begin with". Imagine what he would think now?!?!

It wouldn't be a terrible idea. Though power creep is impossible to curtail without regular item loss, something most people seem unwilling to accept in their game play.

What is happening right now could be called "property inflation". Probably most of us already anticipated this moment will eventually arrive, and I think it's here now.

Yes, I am tired too of having my 25 suits made obsolete 2-3 times a year. The ammount of numbers right now on a suit it's just insane. I had to make an Excel sheet to keep track of all the properties.

What would come next? Revamp tinkering tools so you could tinker-forge an extra +20 skill on any item from your suit?

Someone is losing control.....

Any Dungeon Master worth there salt knows a world balance. Give players everything they want and they end up uber geared gods. The world gets real small and the epic fights far and few. After AoS came the Doom Arty hunt. Everything was going great with many players doing the loop for ARTIFACT rares. Few weeks later every Tom, **** and Harry was sporting the wallmart sale on loot at WBB.

Best RNG they had was for the moonstone jewelry. And that isn't even an option now. Took yeeaaarrssss to get 4 of the 7 val runic BODs. Took 5 minutes and 73k gold to get the last three. Sure I should just kept playing the RNG. But what to do with one val runic compounded by reforging option. Hard to play catch up to someone that burned 5ish val runic just to get the perfect sammy plate piece.

What is needed is a new world. Get there bankbox/backpack empty and naked on foot. Only thing worn is one PBD item and characters crossing with no known PBD get one placed on item worn (every character will have chance at one PBD no mater age). Only basic spell casting books will cross in the bacpack. This land besides having the bankbox there is also a bank lockbox that only the bankers there will open. Crossing back to the old world same rules. Why to have the bank lockbox for revisiting.

The new world has NO GOLD COINS, different currency for loot and NPCs. So no insurance. Could Have some the lands new bosses have no more then 20 gp. Gather enough to insure an item for a death.

Housing here is by placing a keystone that opens a building crate. Resourses are added and there is a progress of building. The foundation size is based off the amount of resourses first put into crate and dedicated to build. Plots size will determine ammount and type of resourses needed for upkeep and repairs. Every custom house building tile will require certain ammount of resourses to place. Each tile chosen has resourse requirement (bring on the bone walls). A 36x36 placed by a Guildmaster plot is the only one larger then 18x18. Members of a guild with one theese guild houses kills a member of another guild with their own guild house, they will have a cursed death deed on their corpse. Theese death deeds are guild labled and have a timer. They can dropped in a public container at the deeds guild house doing random damage of housing tile removal. Foundation is set for destruction at certain number of deeds leaving behind the guild post/housesign as loot. Character Guildmaster can only place a guildhouse once. New Guildmaster will have to be elected to place another guild house. Certain number of guild house only plots will be for placing. No guild house guilds can declare war on any guild house. Battleing guilds will have death deeds also. No house members deeds place in the guilds public container will counter any of their members deeds placed in the container per deed.

Same creature templates used with harsher RNG on loot generation. Special loot drops are extreme and truely an artifact.

I think refoging was a great idea as my crafter may be able to make some money again however i am really disappointed to see what is happening with runic tools.

In two weeks 2.5k of Valorite Ingots (what approximately takes to fill one 20 ex plate LBOD) will be worth more than a Vlaorite hammer.

This is really a great way to support all those wonderful AFK scripters that are farming resources. Now they can make even more money.

I play 5-10 hours a week and usually mine once every two months as I like doing other things more. With random resources spawns I would take me a year to complete one val hammer bod if I don't buy ingots.

So if anyone missed it. I would like to tank the development team for hard work and good creative ideas they bring to the table but please B***H slap the a****le who though of randomizing the resources and devaluing our time without providing alternate ways of obtaining required materials.

I was excited to see it too, UNTIL I saw they tied it in with the dang Imbuing skill. Was looking forward to something that actually boosted pure old school crafters. Not something else tied to that dang skill.

I thought I read alot of posts recently wanting the game to be easier?! And you say the Devs don`t listen. Now its alot easier for a new char (or poor) to get decked out with cheap stuff.... and on shards with insurance,no chance at losing it! lol careful what ya wish for.

*shrug*

Can`t have your cake and eat it too. Hi end items,plus no chance at losing them will inevitably make it a god like mode world. Just now its not restricted to the insanely rich and elite. Maybe thats why its a problem?.... because EVERYONE can aquire great items now.

Perfect for the casual gamer.

I was under the impression that the loot from mobs was nerfed unintentionally, seems that the loot is weaker on most mobs and the high end mobs drop drastically lower quality loot than before. (in shame)

Reforging, I made about 45-60 melee weps (mostly ornate axes) on TC1, not a single one had splintering weapon, Is it possible to get Splintering weapon with Re-forging? Also made about 20 or so shields, and none of them had Hci,

*All the weapons & shields were re-forged with Valorite or Agapite hammers.

*I Only picked Vicious/of Slaughter & Animated/of Haste prefix/suffixes.

Wrong analysis, IMHO.

This is a game about PvP, also, right ?

If so, the fun is not, as I see it, in getting that one in a million suit or weapon that can one kill shot all other players. Nope.

This is not fun. Where would be the challenge, if I may ask ??

The fun is in a fight well balanced were the outcome is far from being written because players are "almost" at the same level.

And how can the game ensure that players are all at the same level ? Making sure that the means to have top notch equipment are not elite, not of just a few.

This, is the fun, IMHO.

Having fights which are truly open ended, challenging and where those who win are not those who were luckier or wealthier to get the best equipment but those who were truly more capable in the fight..........

So, I am all for having cheap valorite hammers and top end equipment open up to any and all players because this is what the game needs to have really some fun and challenging PvP.

I disagree, entirely.

In order for PvP to be challenging and fun (see my post above....), fights need to be balanced and in order for this to happen, in a game where modifiers determine who wins and who looses for a good part, this means opening up to any and all players the top end equipment.

So, yes, in order to have a fun and challenging PvP I think it is a good system that, which can allow everyone, not just a few players, to have anything they want to use maxed out as the game allows to.

A game that would allow for privileges to only a few players would not be a good game, IMHO.

Why ?

Because eventually this "elite", privileged few players would end up bored of always winning with hardly finding challenging fights and the rest of players, always most losing, would give it up because, after all, who enjoys losing a lot more than winning ?

So, a game allowing privileges to just a few players is on a losing track, IMHO, because it eventually ends up with both sides parting from the game, one out of boredom and the other out of frustration.

Nope, a succesfull game, IMHO, must ensure fights which are most always even, balanced and with their outcome hard to be determined because the parties confronting have much similar top end equipment, both.................

I still think the new loot engine is a home run as it's pulled me back into the game much more than before. Of course the latest unintentional drop in quality took some of the fun out of it. As long as difficulty of creatures scales up with the capability of the item we find or craft I don't see a problem.

So my question would be: What is this "Bribery system" that everyone keeps talking about? Because due to every NPC being farmed into the ground within 2 hours of server up, I have found absolutely no evidence that such a system exists.

Find a less used NPC.

Well 9 more valorites for 11 million.

I went and got my exceptional plate large bods and dusted them off.

I think it took may 80k or 100k to get them to valorite.

This is silly. Im just buying up bods that will give you verite and valorites and selling as if they are that. Let see if I make gold.

All this change for a net neutral wash.
