Devs !! After account migration....will unused houses fall

well the way i see it is all acounts were turned on for a week then all turned off..now people are turning the ones they actually use back on.....

so will all the olde accounts that have been lost in time etc...start to decay in 90 days...because they really should do if u have programmed it right

Dont hold your breath for an answer. The devs have selective blindness to any thread with the words 'Account' and 'Migration' in the title.

They also seem to be ignoring PMs.

I messaged Cal and Mesanna two days ago regarding another player's situation that I'm very concerned about. He's experiencing so much stress over his blocked accounts, the double billings, and the lack of any measurable and effective help from the CS team that it is adversely affecting his health.

My PM still hasn't been opened by either of them.

Unless and until the developers clarify what it means to have the housing system deactivated, I would imagine many people with blocked accounts will still continue to worry, Larisa. Are all accounts covered by the deactivation or only ones that went inactive after a certain date? Is time still ticking away but houses (some or all of them) just can't actually fall when they run out of time, or did the counting of the 90 days also actually stop and will resume at some later date? Are the rumors that the decay cycle has changed from 90 days to something shorter actually true?

If I had a blocked account at this point with a house full of treasures, I'd be thinking way too little information has been released so far to make me feel totally comfortable that my "stuff" is safe.

I think more information from the developers on how decay is or isn't working right now and that includes some good, solid examples that fit the situations many find themselves in at this point would go a long way towards easing concerns right now. And I'll reiterate right here that the information must come from and be posted by the developers because all the rest of us are just guessing at this point. (No offense meant to you or anyone else trying to help. Heaven only knows where we'd be right now if this community hadn't pulled itself together to help each other.)

Aww.. I hope someone with a red phone to someone with some power sees your post. I can understand how someone could get very upset over accts being blocked for no good reason (especially if it's his main social outlet... like it is for many disabled folks I know).

If you were a high exec. and wanted to get rid of people from a game in mass quantities how would you do it? Shut access off and let everyone of your long term customers suffer? Seems to be working GREAT.

And we lost yet another couple of Siege players tonight, Guardian.... Not going to say more because I hope one of them will make a goodbye post in the Siege forum. Pretty dismayed about it, as it was someone I guilded into NEW along with his brothers.

People whose accounts were paid up to the start of the migration will not lose houses because of it, provided they re-sub as soon as the bugs are worked out. People whose accounts were closed before the migration and are coming to the end of their 90 days are at risk.

People who are using the 90 Day reactivating should have only the risk to forget to reopen.
When they dont want 90 Days payer they have to change the system.
Fact is that the new migration disaster did more damage than all other things what ever happened in UO.
But the most ridiculous thing is that the bugged return to brit Houses which accounts are closed since many years dont fall.
At every return to brit was the bug avabile and at the last official it wasnt fixed like they sayed.
People who pay Monthly or all 90 Days for an account are better than all the Cheater who use the bugged Houses as storage.
And believe me there is a very big amount of this Houses on every shard.
Only the paying customers (monthly or all 90 days) loose their Houses.
There are also alot of people who paying only their accounts and dont play because they dont want loose Houses and stuff.
Most of them dont notice this migration disaster changing and with the removed billing Information or removed Gametimes their Accounts going close and the Houses decay too.
There are also the people where EA or whoever removed gametime (180 days) for no reason.
And the Cheaters Houses?
They are safe lol.
No decay and no worry that this Houses getting lost.
Reportet Houses (my test House on an old account too) are reportet several Times (in 10 Month) and not only one is deleted.

well devs did u do a simple code to start the 90 day decay on all unpaid for accounts??? if u cant figure it out.....i will make a hard copy tape from my zx spectrum or commodore 64 and sent it to u in the post with the code to do it...

You sound like some of the Warhammer players who were convinced at the start of the migration stuff that the new system was meant to get rid of Warhammer in some way

Look, if EA wanted to end UO, they would just do it.

They wouldn't have spent money on migrating UO to the new system either. The amount of money spent on migration (development and support costs) probably came close to putting all three MMOs in the red. I know it'll get written off or shuffled around as part of the bigger EA corporate strategy to push everything through Origin.com, but it still cost millions to move those three over to the new system.

At the rate I'm getting around the new system this will be the third boat full of goods and thos pesky quest boxes. My punnishment for buying bunch those damn Hummers they always ask for.
