Dev request: Guild Lockdown Container

Some guildmates were setting up a guild donation box, and we discovered an interesting problem:

With a locked down container, set to guild only, in order to add something to it, you have to be friended. This makes sense with the way the code works. Friends can lock down, but not anyone else. However, this makes the ability to set a locked down container to guild-only useless.

I would like to see guild-only give -limited- ability to lock down... in a guild-only container, you can add to it, without being friended.

In the mean time, we've made it so the house owner has friended officers, and everyone else can see that their donations have been deposited, but we would like to see it so that guild members can add items to a locked-down guild-only container.

would a locked down container set to 'anyone' level access work for what you are suggesting?

Unless something has changed (which it may very well have since I last tried this), can't you lock down a box, set it to 'anyone' access, and then anyone can drop items in and they instantly become locked down?

Basically, yes; although being able to remove things isn't necessary. We can unlock/remove if necessary. Your question actually adds a definite bonus that I hadn't thought of. With current settings, it works as expected with guild members that are house friends, but not for non-friends. It gives the "you must be in a house you own" error.

I *think* so - I'll have to test to see if this works, but ideally, we'd prefer for only guild members to see what the contents are.

might not solve your problem, but my guild was going through the same prob a couple years back and we found out a lil know fact about that setting (guild only).
check your guild roster........ I will be willing to bet that alot of your guild mates are ranked as ronins.
anyone with a ronin rank can NOT access containers set to guild.
soulution is to promote them to members, and then they should be able to access the container. (warning!! they will also be able to remove items from container! prob why it is set that way.)
