I have an order for one of these and I'd like to get some input on what would be a good pvm bow before I start working on it.

I was thinking a Comp bow with

HSL
Dragon slayer
DI
HML
HLL

Should I ditch one of the leech props for SSI? Change bow type?

Well for one if you are making a deamon slayer bow I would ditch the Dragon Slaying property........ 3 words Dirp Dee Dir.

Best bet? Find an old super slayer with "Demon slayer" not Deamon, and imbue with:

30SSI
ML
HLD
Stam Leech

Then enhance.

I thought leeches were heavily nerfed on bows...

I'm building a demon slayer composite with HLA/HLD/Balance/SSI

But it's mainly for a archer/tamer build, as an assist to pets. The balance is for surprise pk attempts or, conversely, for area effect PvM. The SSI can be switched out for DI, although I prefer SSI for an archer/tamer

I'd be interested to know more on what exactly leeches do on bows now, hmm...*hits imbuing menu*

In pvm Leeches work great on all weapons. They're all dependent on how much damage your putting out.

Now to throw my 2 cents out there on pvming. I do ALOT of pvming, both solo with my sampire and in groups with my wammy.

You will not need any slayer on any bow. The damage cap is 300%. What you will be doing is this, 100 Di from items, 100 DI from Enemy of one and 100 DI from honor. If you're not honoring your wrong. If your planning on solo'ing stuff your gonna need a bow with the following mods.

Regular Crossbow
50 stam leech
50 mana leech
30 ssi then enhance to 40
high DI

With this bow, you'll need to be rocking a suit with 180 stamina. You will dish out massive amounts of damage (200-300) per hit and be a flat out powerhouse.

Now if your going to let a dragon do the tanking, you can use a set up along these lines

Magical Shortbow
40s Lower D
15 HCI (this is even optional as you'll be LS spamming the whole time)
30 SSI
High DI

My bow I use is,

magical Short
140 Luck
45 Lower D
30 SSI
40 DI

With this bow, you can use a suit with just 120 stam and devine fury and you will be swinging at 1.25s. You can rock a max luck suit, be at perfection and hit upwards of 3000-3500 luck. You will be in wraith form with this bow, thus you will not need any leeches.

The two templates that you will build around these bows are the ABC archer and the Wammy

ABC Archer
120 archery
120 bushido
100 resist
100 healing
100 anatomy
100 tactics
75 chivarly

That is all you really need for a solo template. You could probably even drop the healing and raise necro for vampire form and the life leech ability. Depends on your style...

Wammy ( Wraith Samurai)
120 Arch
120 bushido
100 Spirit Speak
100 tactics
100 anatomy
75 chivalry
0 or 50 necro (i use 50 for corpse skin)
And whatever other skills you want...thats honestly all you need

120 Arch
120 bushido
100 Spirit Speak

100 anatomy
75 chivalry
0 or 50 necro (i use 50 for corpse skin)

I use this, but minus anat, add parry, and switch arch for fence.

Yep, only worry is if the thing hits you for 40+ dmg...that is where the stam leech becomes very important, because you need to be draining life quickly.

What is a good swords weap to use on this temp?

Thx for the info, normally I would have asked you this question in vent:). I will need to talk to my customer and see what temp he is running before I start any kind of work.

Honestly just anything fast. You generally won't use any special but feint/lightning strike. Radiant skimmy are very nice too for doing spawns. I used to solo despise on that temp.

It all depends on what your fighting...If your fighting multiplte monsters, Doom for example, you'll want a heavy hitter and a whirlwind hitter.

In this case I like the rune blades and a twinkling scimitar...Rune blades have the highest damage per second output and is just a beast.

If your going macing, Diamond mace. Fecning, Leaflade and for swords either Ornate, Rune blade and twinkling scimitar. Those are your primary weapons for each class.

Enemy of one is a chivalry spell that doubles your damage to a specific enemy type. It also increases damage done by other monsters to you...its like 50% more damage from other monsters to you, but you do 100% more damage to the selected target. Honor is a virtue you invoke onto a selected target. At 120 bushido it's a 10 step process. Every time you hit your target, it is one step. Each step grants you 10% DI. At perfection, which is the 10th step, you are granted 100% DI and a 1000 Luck bonus.

*note that the luck bonus does not appear anywhere on screen. It is just factored into the loot table when the moster dies. I wear a suit that gives me 2150 luck, but with perfection I hit 3150*

I looked up how to honor and for archery it says you have to stand on th same square as you gave honor and no pets. I would die real quick.

That sir/mam is absolutely not true....All you have to do is honor your target, and start hitting. There is no tile effect, or anything else. Honor, and begin whacking away. You'll notice to, because it say's you have gained in perfectin when your hitting.
