So do all the people, and thus the motivation for anyone to pay for an EM program.Ya know....remove Event drops and this and all these other problems disappear!
Obviously not...most people here post how they just go for the story line anyway. So do all the people, and thus the motivation for anyone to pay for an EM program.
you could just be a sampire or wammie and get all 3 (damage taken, dealt, healed) everytime you get hit/land a hit. How? A GD can tank a stomper which then boosts your chance at getting looting rights on "damage taken", SW adds a chance at "damage dealt" and healing your pet adds to a chance of "damage healed". This template allows you to generate a chance at all 3 possibilities of getting a drop. So I would say that adding SW greatly increases your chances in combination with your GD
You are right zero drops or 100% drops and problem solved.Ya know....remove Event drops and this and all these other problems disappear!
You mean the like four people here who post that in every thread.Obviously not...most people here post how they just go for the story line anyway.
True, they do well but as people increase each threshold it's harder to get in. When there is a stomper A GD tanking 100 dmg x6 opposed to a wammie tanking 100 and then having to go res allows the GD to hit the threshold of tanking and then set it's bar higher making it harder to achieve.you could just be a sampire or wammie and get all 3 (damage taken, dealt, healed) everytime you get hit/land a hit.
Have you ever actually played a tamer? I have over 20 tamers and I can tell you that at no time does a dragon do that much damage. It's more like 35 and under. VERY occasionally it does it's breath attack for like 60 to 75 damage but that's rare. Depends on what it's fighting but for the most part a boss mob with a drop they are lucky to do 35 damage tops. Usually it's more like 5 to 10 or so per attack and they are kinda slow too.True, they do well but as people increase each threshold it's harder to get in. Off the subject, but I've got to ask ... 20 tamers ... don't you think that's a little ... excessive?I have over 20 tamers ...
I think what he means by tanking is it can take more damage not deal more damage.Have you ever actually played a tamer? Tanking he takes a TON of damage. Yes.I think what he means by tanking is it can take more damage not deal more damage.
Excessive? I have like over 10 accounts pretty much all of them has a tamer and it's been my "goal" in UO to have a fully functional tamer on every shard at some point. It's not something I spend a whole lot of time working on but I do enjoy taming. It can take me 2 or 3 weeks to go through all my "working" characters and get the .1 gains... But that's more because of continual interruptions and I find myself stopping to help people all the time. Or one of my biggest problems of late is that playing UO tends to put me to sleep. I'm not sure why... it just does. I used to be able to play hours on end and anymore I have to stop after a couple hours and go do something else or I start to fall asleep at the keys. Maybe it's the old age I don't know.Off the subject, but I've got to ask ... 20 tamers ... don't you think that's a little ... excessive?
What I would like to know is why they put these kind of resist on the end boss when monster avearge 50-60 in resist it is pretty even with warriors tamers and mages and it also balance out special movesTo be completely honest, tamers don't really do that much damage (standard-mage-tamer) typically sits back and heal their pet over and over, pets do good damage vs certain mobs, highly dependent on the mobs resists, There simply isn't anything that can compete with Armor ignore, for the most potential dps... (Except an AI-ing Tamer!!!! lol)
.
Lol, I brought it up because I only play on 5 shards (mainly 3), and I've been thinking lately I may be overextended (time and energy wise), and if there was a practical (free) way to combine the best of my characters on each shard onto one shard, I'd so it. Again, sorry to get off track, just struck a chord.Excessive? Add SW to the temp and cast WoD....Have you ever actually played a tamer? I have over 20 tamers and I can tell you that at no time does a dragon do that much damage. It's more like 35 and under. That's part of what I'm saying... the dragon doesn't really do damage. Yes the tamer actually does way more than the dragon can.Add SW to the temp and cast WoD....
Dont wait for mana to heal yourself.....die...drop the death robe and run right back in there after the rez. If you cant get a rez multi box your stealth mage close so he can rez you for your character to run back inseems i've been doing it wrong all this time. i've actually been trying to do damage to the mobs when i should've been dying, res'ing and healing my toon.
Let me get this straight, we have players that are chain death rushing bosses at 1hp while gaining full kill credit on any number of accounts? Surely these players are more important benefactors to the overall game than the ones whom actually, you know assist in fighting a boss? . Suppose I should overlook the billions of gold worth in em drops I could ecru on every shard without a single equipped character.
Sarcasms has been intended & now Picard shares his thoughts on the subject.
This situation more than qualifies as a circumvented loophole & more or less adds no beneficial cooperative game play to any encounter other than a display of body/corpse spam. I hope this exposed angle is being accounted for & looked into for alteration.
or everyone can do regular, daily content to upgrade their characters, creating value in current content. if your saying theres only 10 people in the game who could be bothered with trying make an up to date character and play well then UO has failed. I dont buy the "thats only for the uo rich" argument either. anyone can participate in scalis, most active shards do many of them regularly. just from doing that any player could combine the loot with imbued stuff and very cheap arties (im talking less than 5m total) but no instead of making a good character, people just cash in the gear on the trade forums to the handful of people actually buying it.Look the bottom line is no matter what the system is...gamers will find away to circumvent it and manipulate it to their advantage. After all that is what gamers do...they figure out how to defeat the puzzle the fastest...easiest..best way possible! At least this way everyone has a chance ...if they change it to the top 10 damage dealers ( or some other system) it would probably be the same 10 people...or at least the same 10 templates!
That's because UO's ever more obtuse item property system has alienated a lot of the players.any player could combine the loot with imbued stuff and very cheap arties (im talking less than 5m total) but no instead of making a good character, people just cash in the gear on the trade forums to the handful of people actually buying it.
