Deadmines - Stratics Guild

So is anyone ready to do Deadmines?

I hit level 16 last night and have all the quests ready and lined up. Wouldn't mind hitting it tomorrow night or sometime this weekend.

I have a guide I made a while back for the instance that I need to finish up, maybe I'll get that up tonight so folks can look through it before we head in (although I'm sure many of you have done it a million times).

By the way, we hit 40 members last night


And the guild bank is almost full, hehe.

Not sure where I am for levels, but I'd be glad to heal for it if i can do it. I think I'm too low still haven't had a lot of play time really...well not for leveling heh

The Deadmines are in Westfall and the main entrance is in the town of Moonbrook..There's a whole series of Defias Brotherhood quests that ends with you bringing the head of VanCleef to Gryan Stoutmantle at Sentinel Hill in Westfall.

If I get some time to tonight and don't pass out from the medicine I've been taking for my cold, I'll try to have the Deadmines guide posted so you can check it out and see.

I'll post the time tonight as well, I haven't decided yet on Saturday or Sunday - or heck, maybe even New Years Day.

How can you NOT know where DM is? Good lord, do you play with blinders on? There are only about 5 quests for that place, Westfall is the next logical place to go when you're leveling a toon past Goldshire. You even get a couple quests to GO to Westfall and start the chain.

Wow... I just can't wrap my brain around that statement. Even the HORDE run DM on my server.

Sorry if that upsets you, but you'll just have to deal with it. Just because I am a casual player, playing for FUN, I just haven't got to that place yet. This is my first Alliance character I'm playing anyway. I also tend to prefer playing solo, it at least means if things go wrong it's only my fault instead of someone else letting everyone down. Consequently, I tend to avoid things that can't be done on my own.

Rather than taking that attitude, you might have tried being helpful instead.

Hey hey guys, lets keep it civil. We all have our own styles of play; lets respect that. While it is improbable to not have been to / heard of Deadmines on the Alliance side, it is not impossible...for example, I played a low level Night Elf...no Deadmines on Kalimdor. I believe Blackfathom is the low level instance on that side of the world. Or, as AJ stated, if you perfer solo play, the Deadmines quest lines would be passed up for other opportunities.

So... having looked into it, it appears that "Deadmines" is in an area of Westfall that I have not yet explored.

Hence having not heard of it.

I have a friend who's played for about a year and a half now and he's never been to Deadmines and didn't know where it even is.

*shrug* it's really not all that weird.

aj, the reason you may not have heard of it is because about 95% of the people online call it "VC." You probably saw a bunch of "lfg vc" and went on with what you were doing.

How can Deadmines become "VC"?

"VC" is a drink as far as I'm concerned, vimto and cider, also known as snakebite, probably something not heard of outside of the south west UK

Because the last boss in the Deadmines is Edwin VanCleef or "VC" for short..There's a quest to kill him and bring his head to Gryan Stoutmantle for some nifty rewards.

Depends on the date, i know you wanted it for this weekend but due to work i have not been playing much but i am sitting at 20 on my Shaman.
I would be more than happy to attend if i can make it though.

Have not played too much on him to let everyone else get to the same sort of level rather than shooting off
