Oh how i sometimes hate this game and its bugs. I just wanted to replace my fishing shack with different house. I demolished the old house, placed the new one and all chests, except for a basket with 49 fishing poles are just gone. That basket was the only item that appeared under the house sign. All fishing rewards, a 100.000 stones of fish and craps in a commodity box etc ...

I'm so let down now .. i guess that's it for me when it comes to a 120 scroll or my britain ship. Crabbing is such a pain in the ass, just to have to all deleted by some ****ty coding ... yes. I'm mad!

Did you demolish and place, or did you resize the house? I'd check and see if something funky happened like it tossed it in the moving crate , would be an absolutely bizarre bug for stuff to be actually deleted on a house drop.

I demolished a two-story and replaced it with a tower to see if i could decorate it better. Tho the tower is pointless now since i have nothing to decorate it with. The last time i replaced a house many years ago all the stuff appeared under the house sign and i only had to move it into the new house.

Yeah, that's how it's supposed to work, but I know they changed something a few months back, they made it so that it deletes certain addons when you place on top of them, and made them able to be placed over where you couldn't before. (water troughs being the main one, instead of wherever a house with one falls becoming permanantly unplacable now you can place over and it just deletes them). It's not supposed to delete items though.

A few things to check, while you still have time, JUST to be sure.

1. Check your moving crate...you never know, it might have decided it was "in" the house but didnt know where to put it, so popped it in there. (partially why i asked if you did a proper resize and not just a demolish, a resize keeps building info like visitors and nobody else but you can place on that spot for a hour)

2. ctrl+shift and see if it dropped under the floor, if so you have three options, deleted the house again and manually move it out of the way, page a GM and hope they get there before it decays, or lock them down from inside the house and use the decor tol to move them up

3. relog and check under the sign, sometimes the client gets out of sync when a lot of items are moved, I know i've had stuff in my backpack disappear when this happens until i've relogged.

4. take up a life of piracy, you were robbed of your legitimately gotten goods and now your only recourse is a life of crime.

I did check everything with ctrl+shift. But all that showed up was the basket. The moving crate takes up 0 items. I didnt expect anything else than that in old style homes. Wish i had moved all the heavy stuff... imbuing resources and all that fish

oh dear. Demolishing a house with stuff inside it is not a good idea. Customise it, yes. Remove all the walls and just leave the base, but demolish, no. It throws all your stuff on the ground to be picked up by anyone passing by.

I'm not doing any fishing atm, you can use my stock, such as it is.

I'm a crappy house designer. I prefer oldstyle homes. I took the risk because noone could have walked away with chests 100k stones heavy while having my dog gnawing on them.

I could have simply put the crabs and fish onto deeds, it was all there aswell. But i wanted to save time...

the clean up event has been has been great for me...trashing everything! what a relief not to be bogged down with all the stuff i had accumulated over the years. You just did it in a very very big way...*grins*. Surely some part of your mind feels a little good?

anyways...post what you need to replace. i am sure others can turn in to you instead of the trash can for a few days.

Just updating the thread since i found that bug to be easily reproducable on TC1.

Drop 2+ items on the floor. Place a house over those items. All will appear under the house sign. Hit the cancel button or have the house timeout. All items except for one will be deleted when the test house vanishes.
