(OT) D&D daggerdale question

So i broke down and bought dungeons and dragons daggerdale cause it was only 15 dollars. Now im stuck on some window that says updating d&d daggerdale Estimated time remaining to play 23 hours.....


uhhh do i really have to wait a day to play the game each time i wanna play it? this is mildly dumb! seriously i have to wait a day for it to update so i can play. uuhhh please tell me this is a one time occurance.

steam right? it should only download once and then you can play it off and on as much as you want.

yeah on steam initial downloads are long for me too. My son's computer downloads from steam fast, even the time we were on the same connection.

Cant even play the game without patching too, that's why I boycott any game with DRM :/ (Not everyone has options for internet connections, here it's verizon 3Mb dsl, or hughes sattelite which has an average of 3000ms ping (not even kidding, the ping on sat connections is aweful) and a 100MB daily download cap)
