Cu Suggestions?

Hi all!

So I only have time to train one Cu and was wondering what build is best for all around use...

I've been reading conflicting reports that the Cu uses enemy of one at the wrong time, some swear by Chiv, and someone said just AI was good cuz it used AI more and could put more mana and HP, so i wanted to ask which is better: Either Chiv Ai or just Ai..?

Would think that would have to take into account what you are using the rest of your
template points on for yourself.

All Chiv pets turn EoO on and off. You are lucky to get it to last 10 seconds. Pets die in a crowd because their AI does not let them keep attacking a single target while others hit it. They end up spinning around and doing no damage to anything. So, any pet will die in a crowd unless something is helping kill the crowd.

When the Cu gets surrounded, run up, mount it and walk away to make the mobs form a line of death and then kill them.

You can make a Cu with AI alone or something else. Each color has a different build. Cu Sidhe Builds

But AI/Chiv will kill single targets faster than anything else.

You need the Chiv over 100 to see the difference.

Make many different builds.

@Pawain When i look up the Armor Ignore ability it says "The next strike ignores the Physical Resistance of the attacked, but cause 90% of the normal damage only."
If a Cu's damage is 50% cold and 50% energy does Armor Ignore still benefit the Cu's attacks?

This one is accurate:

Special Moves – Ultima Online

Armor Ignore – This special move allows the skilled warrior to bypass all of their target’s armor resistance, for one shot only. The Armor Ignore shot does slightly less damage than normal (90% of normal damage). Against a heavily armored opponent, this ability is a big win, but when used against a very lightly armored foe, it might be better to use a standard strike.

Maybe the one you saw goes back to when there was no other resistance types?

AI works on all pet types.

If you want it to hunt monsters, and fight mostly 1 vs 1 - id go for chiv. But if you want to do spawns etc with it - Id go for spellweaving and explosive goo + ai or whirlwind.
