Right, auction ended at 8, but lets say a bid was made at 7:56, then the 10min rule would make the new endtime 8:06, and any bid in that timeframe would push it to 10 mins after that bid. Just has to go 10 mins with no bids, but still ends at 8 if no bids were made from 7:51-8.
