Most people I meet doing events and on this forum sell items they dont want to get items they do want. Nothing wrong with selling something u have no use for.Really saddens me that people do events just to get something to sell.

It does hold a value. The number it sells for. Helping out new and returning players, who in turn provide me the people needed to hunt, give good conversation, and make the game worth playing has a higher value then this sash. Indiana Jones didn't give a crap about the lost arc. Wasn't the ride there fun though?

im with you, its sad that people don't know what sentimental value is... it was given to you, like me i have my corporal and sergeant sash, i wear the sergeant but im not selling my corporal sash, it was given to me, it has my name, ill just lock it down in my houseI understand that, but it was given to specifically you, with your name on it. For both a rares collector and not a rares collector I would think that would hold some sort of value. Guess I'm wrong.
on a second note, why would anyone pay 100-200m for this sash? u realize u get them for free if u go to enough of the crux ansata events on atlantic?

First off, stop hijacking my thread. Second, all event items are free if you show up to enough of them. Keep it about the item. If you guys want to go on about the moral injustices of items in UO then start a thread somewhere else.
When the Crux thing started, it was presented as a two sided coin. Good guys over here being good. While the bad guys were over there doing bad. I was only interested in the bad guy events.
They started long after the good guy thing, with long periods of time between events. I became restless and wondered over to the good guys. Then the bad guy thing stopped, and everyone was left to be Bennu's Power Rangers. But without big robots or anyone to fight. So the sash to me means nothing. IDC if it has my social security #. I don't need it.

Wouldn't sentimental value be in the eye of the beholder? I think its a lil interesting how people who do nothing but sell/buy/then sell again rares think they can guilt trip others into not selling an item because "they" think its sentimental.... You get a sash and dont wanna sell it? Great! Maybe lothar thinks other rares he gets are sentimental to him.... To each their own.

Two sided coin as in, there would be an evil side in OPPOSITION to the Crux Ansata, not referring to the evil people who have taken part IN the Crux Ansata. I do also believe that it is kind of rude to just give away an item that you worked so hard to get. Yet I do understand where you are coming from, Bennu did say that the owner of the sash may do whatever they please with it but it is YOUR sash and should always stay with you even after the Crux Ansata is no longer existant. You may regret it!
May I ask why you are selling it?

What part of item for sale, keep posts about items, and injustices in another forum isn't clear? Yahoo news down or something? I have had a buyer pull out because of this moral dilemma crap. I go round saying you guys suck for selling the crap you don't want? Nope. And I'll tell you why. I get my news from NPR. So I'm never bored enough to go trolling.
Yes a Evil Side, EM Sprig started it and did a few events before he had to leave. That is where the seer of moonstone staff came from, one of his events. It was going to be Evil vs Good. And as for you thinking it is rude for him to just give away an item, not your business what he does with "His" item. Once again people are proving my point, people attack a man for selling a EM item he got from an event on a forum designed to buy/sell EM items, go figure. As to all the people against him selling the sash, do yourself a favor, don't open his thread and bother posting unless your bidding.
a while ago they had a similar event on chesapeake, where people got ranks and were given sashes, it was only a certain few people that got them and no one else was going to be promoted ever, was a role playing thing used for some event, but the EMs told the players if they are caught selling their sashes, the sash will be deleted, shame more EMs don't follow this policy...
