I'd like to know what you guys prefer when you purchase spellbooks. Does it matter to you if the crafter's name is on the book?

I've thought about this question too playing a scribe. I'd say most wouldn't care either way, as long as they get the spellbook they need at the right price. For those sitting on the fence though, it probably depends on the name. Is it a well-known name? A clever name like... for example "Hand" (Crafted by Hand).

I'd imagine that someone who purchases a spellbook prefers it to have no name than a name of a character who they don't know and will likely never know. But if you're active in the community and sell/give spellbooks to players you socialize with, they'd probably appreciate having your name on it :)

I don't mind at all. I was pretty chuffed when I saw a player using one of my own crafted books I left on the floor!
