Could someone point me in the diection of which forum to find out about gargoyles and whats best templates for them for pvm.

The forums are set up my Skills, not race, so there are a few that would work very well.

Some of the popular Gargoyle builds are Mystic/Mages and Tamers. I REALLY enjoy my Mystic/Thrower with Magery for PvM.

So, Try the Casters Forum, Taming and Warriors.

Sometimes it is certainly best to ask around to see how certain templates work for others to decide how you might proceed.

Possible forums to ask questions:

• UO Warrior - Stratics Forums, or
• UO Spellcaster - Stratics Forums

To experiment with templates:

• The best option will be to visit the Test Center shard, create a character and try out different templates.

Yes try to be indivulaistic about your template. Mystic/mage is popular, but i prefer melee or archery, so playing a mystic mage would be bad for me in pvp.

In pvm however i enjoy all templates.

 

[Xalan Dementia]

Mystic Eval Mage - 120 mystic focus meditation magery evalint spellweaving
this template is a overall damage dealer.

Mystic Disco Mage - 120 disco music magery mystic focus spellweaving
This is a group version of the mystic mage. Alone this template does about the same amount of damage as the pure mystic mage, but in a small group this template is great

Champ Spawn Sampire - necro swords tactics bushido parry resist spells
This is a nice whirlwind champ spawn template. Use Talwars weapon for whirlwind. (arties i use - void infused kilt, giant steps, breastplate of berserker, Folded Steel glasses)


those are just basic rundowns of my favorite gargy templates.
