I know you meant this as kind-of a joke. But since robes have properties the game is not catering to girls and bank setters.

This really is a big mistake. There are work around.
1. have two paper dolls one that people see and one for the properties.

2. transfer all properties off of robes onto items but when you remove those items the properties drop.

I am sure there are other ways.
