Copying a key

Its been so many many years since I last copied a key. Is it still possible to copy a ships key and if so, how do you do it?

I think you double click a blank key, then target the key you wish to copy.

Afaik its not possible.
When you place a boat, you get two keys ... one in your backpack and one in your bankbox. If you drydock it, those vanish and you get a new set when placing it again.

Yep, that's how you do it. Once it is copied, double click the key and target itself in order to label it.

Silverbird, you can definitely make copies. I have created extra sets in the event I get myself into trouble.

Thanks for the replies. Its been so darn long. Its not like you use keys so often anymore.

You can recall on the original keys but not on the copied ones.

I believe you can still insure boat keys, if that helps.
