We're happy to announce Pinco as our Content Contest Winner for August!

Pinco is the winner of 30 days of gametime.

While August had its ups and downs it gave us a chance to offer video making opportunities. There were no other entries which gives us reason to look into what else we can do to encourage the UO community to try some fun things.

Have I ever made a game video? No.

Could I figure it out? Probably

Would the amount of time required to learn and create a video be worth what amounts to 10-13 dollars? Absolutely not.

We will host more video contests in the future but also intermingle them with other participant friendly contests too. I'm always looking for suggestions so please share any ideas you have that might be fun!

Also for anyone interested, check out the example videos from Sosaria Reels and Crystal Canyon. They show two different examples of still shots made into a slide show and actual video recording.

I'm not knocking the intent. I applaud the attempt to tap into player creativity. I just think you may have missed the mark with the UO population. Let's face it, UO players are not known for being the most tech savvy of gamers.

Well, to be honest I've never done a video before this contest, I tried and now I've made a lot of them
My tech knowledge about videos still low and I can say that is very easy to make it (at least a simple one)
To make a video you spend up to 30 minutes + the time to record it so it can worth 10-13 dollars... however I think you should partecipate for the fun of doing it

I have done a few instruction videos and they are fairly easy to do

First thing you need is a video capture program-- I use fraps its free to download

next thing you need is a video editing program I use camtasia, There are also ones like windows movie maker

load recorded video from fraps into the editing program of your choice and add titles etc
or just load it in and select the size you want the output to be and select proccess

then upload the file that was output to some where like youtube
