[Gardening] Confused - Barrel cactus gives everything but barrel cactus seeds.

Growing green thorns using bright green barrel cactus, and crosspollinating. Today I harvested the thorns and seeds. I grow in pack, 10 in each. Crosspollinating lower row against upper. I thought it was odd they didn`t stack at first, until I used dust on the different stacks. This is the result, all bright green:

Prickly pear
Fern
Snowdrops
Rushes
Bulrushes
Ponytail
Lilies

I thought barrel cactus crosspollinated with barrel cactus would produce.. well barrel cactus?

Confused now.

I noticed this as well, but I chalked it up to the bug (which was left in) that allows us to cross 4-barrel cactus to produce colored hops, spider trees, and bonsai.

On a side note, I did find that randomization of crossing any of the 3 normal cacti can produce the 4 barrel cactus, so we don't have to hunt boglings if we don't want to.

Ah thanks, good to know. If this is the same bug that allows us all that other neat stuff then it`s all fine with me. But does this only effect the barrel cactus or does it effect the snake plant as well? A bit worried having enough seed to produce the thorns needed.

It only affects the 3 original cacti. Snake plants work just fine. I use those for my thorn production.
