Collection Turn-ins

I was wondering how most went about turning in large amounts (read: heavy amounts) of resources such as leather, ingots, and/or boards to the collections? It doesn't seem that the NPC's will accept commodity deeds, which would be ideal.

So, is it 5 pack horses and a bunch of recalling/gating/running? In Britain, it's not so bad as the bank is near the library. But Vesper isn't set up so nicely for this.

you have it correct sir, to turn in large amounts for the collections, its pack horses and multiple trips.

Ok, well, thanks for the information. Glad to know I'm not doing it wrong.

Seeing as the collections can accept checks, would it really be that hard to put in the code to let them accept commodity deeds? What's the point of making characters recall over and over and over again to turn in, 1,500 boards - roughly the max for 3 trips, alone?

The best way to do things is the following:

1 Giant Beetle, fully loaded
Donator, fully loaded on foot (keep contents of backpack under 150/550, plus the amount you are carrying in to donate up to your safe walking/recalling weight).

walk to doorway into library (if you mark inside, people will think you're a scripter, plus the spots inside can be blocked by walking NPCs)
Mount beetle, take one step inside, then dismount.

Donate the stuff on you.
Pull 400 stone at a time of donatables off the beetle, donate them.

A high-strength human (or an elf under the influence of +STR pots/items) can then be able to donate 2000+ stone of material a trip - be it 2000 boards, 2000 cut leather, or 20,000 ingots (or regs, scales, etc.). That's 30k points of barbed leather, 78k points of valorite ingots, 20k for regs, 400k for scales (yes, imagine 20 per scale, for 20,000 scales - anthro glasses in two trips), even 96k if someone somehow had 2k of the high-end boards.
