Quite simple really. Can you be the owner of a house and also the co-owner of another house on a different account?

Thanks

Yes, a character may be a co-owner of 1 house, and whether or not a character owns a house doesn't impact this.

Actually - any character can own a house - and be co-owned to as many houses as they want - as long as they are granted co-owner access with either the KR, or the SA clients. 2D does not allow for it - but the newer clients do.

OK, so I owe myself $5, because I bet myself that if I replied to this simple question before someone else, I would somehow be wrong :)

Seriously though, I had no clue. It's an interesting thing that I wouldn't guess would be impacted by client choice.

Thanks for the good info, Tazar, and sorry about my bad info :)

As a side question, do both the house owner and the prospective co-owner have to be running KR/SA, in order for the co-owner to be co-owned to more the one house?

Only the owner that is granting the friend or co-owner status needs to be in KR or SA. For KR, just get them accessed, then promote them to friend, then co-owner. For SA, just grant them co-owner as you would in the classic client.

Sarsmi has seen my house - and every character on each account is co-owned to each part of the place. Very handy since it means I can get to anything I own with any character - and I can finally actually have friends too! :)

And Alyssa... Thanks for being willing to share your knowledge. Your info was dead right for the 2D most everyone plays. :)

Where does SA allow it? I've checked a dozen times and as far as I can see the housing menu in SA both clients is exactly the same as current 2d which only allows 1.

I know KR allows you to be Co-owned to as many as you want..... trust me all my characters are happily co-owned to all 8 of my homes.

SA does not say that it allows it - and the gumps do look just like 2D... but in that gump - select to co-own someone that is already co-owned somewhere-else - and it will work - while it will not in 2D.
