Clumsy...

Ok I've just had an interesting chat with a GM. After some training I've got a 'Clumsy' spell perma on my toon however no discernable effect (I think). I tried to get it off as the red box is irritating me yet I cant cast clumsy on myself and the spellbinders fail often when they try to cast on me...

Now I have enough magery to cast any spell, yet when I cast clumsy on myself it just chokes and fails. I've tried everything to get it off and when I had a chat with the GM he said he cant verify why its stuck and cant be removed. He said I need to get the spell cast on me again (But I cant cos when its cast on me it fails...). And other than that theres nothing else he can do.

So the question is... How do I get rid of it and as I am now invulrable to the clumsy spell, am I going to get into trouble? Its been stuck now for over 2 days.

Any ideas?

Cast Evil Omen on yourself and then cast Clumsy...or go to Fel and get a friendly necro to help you out

Happens to me all the time. It doesn't keep the negative effect but shows you have it... Very weird. Sometimes it does feeblemind, curse, and weaken. Alongside clumsy. Makes you invulerable for those spells in pvp which is a plus. Dunno it usually goes away after awhile for me.

It's a ui bug. They will fix it. Some time in 2076. Just find some spellcasting mob (like a orc mage or an air elemental or an imp) and have it cast on you: it will curseclumweakpoisodrain you in the first three seconds of the fight.

My thief has has a perm bless for years. Can't cast on self and nearly 100 points of stats cannot be gained. No Matter, skilled up and only needs to grab one thing and skulk away.

Actually just see if you can get a Friendly Paladin to cast Remove Curse on you. That often helps.

It should go away when you die if nothing else.

The reason why it fizzles casting it on yourself is that either you have enough resist spells where it would have no effect (based on your eval int level), or you have too little eval int for the spell to have an effect different than what the casting foe put on you.

You need to have a real mage with eval, other than yourself, cast it.
