hello to all! Last time I played UO 10 years ago, when there was no bushido, nyundzhitsu, chevalori etc ... and I decided to go back! I am very hard to understand all the innovations in UO ;( and there are a couple of questions: 1) at the relevant time classic war? without any new skills? if so, can someone tell me more buield (mainly with macefaiting) 2) If such wars are not relevant... somebody tell me the easiest to build warrior? (mainly with macefaiting) ps. sorry for my english, Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome back! I would recommend checking out CorwinXX's guide to warriors which you can find HERE. He is very knowledgeable on the subject.

Thank for guide! I read it! but there is a problem, it's my english. Guide has a lot of incomprehensible acronyms. In this, I want to get classic build (;

For a classic build around mace fighting maybe try something like:

  • Mace Fighting
  • Tactics
  • Anatomy
  • Healing
  • Chivalry
  • Parrying
Maybe resist spells, or Bushido, something along those kind of lines?

Another thread worth checking out would be THIS ONE

Very much so. I'm not an expert on melee warriors. The closest thing I have is a "sampire". I'm sure some other members will chime in with template ideas and suggestions to help you out.

This is a good template. If you want to add Resisting Spells you have at least two options:

1. Add 7th skill
120 Mace
100 Tactics
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Chivalry
100 Resisting Spells
100 Parry

2. Replace Healing (classic Paladin)
120 Mace
120 Tactics
120 Anatomy
120 Chivalry
120 Resisting Spells
120 Parry
In this case you will need HLL on your weapon and FC/FCR (faster casting & recovery). This may be expensive.
If you have soulstones you could switch Resisting to Healing against Slasher and some other monsters, switch Parring to Bushido against some Peerless bosses, and so on.

I loved this build! I just do not understand how I'm going to heal myself? Vampire?

The idea being you have HLL (hit life leech) on your weapon to leech life from your target each hit. Also you have the ability heal hit points, cure poison and remove curses using the chivalry spells.

With 4/6 casting you can heal almost any damage you take. But when you cast healing/cure/remove curse you don't do damage so you should have HLL to use those spells as rare as possible.
The best race for this template is Gargoyle because you can have high HLL and HML on a Disc Mace.

I use orange petals to remove poisen, and eat enchanted apples to remove curses as needed. In addition I use the purple petals for an added +5 to
strength. This takes care of alot of things when in combat, just always trying to figure out the best things to use and what to enhance, its like a big
jig saw puzzle to piece togather at times. But part of the enjoyment for me, keeps my imbuer and crafter employeed.

Orange petals is good. But you get poisoned even when under petals effect. Of course poison is resisting in a few seconds but you can't heal while you are poisoned... and monsters can re-apply poison again. When you cure with a spell you get poison immunity for a few seconds and can heal.
Enchanted apples have cooldown. Sometimes you need remove curse fast (blood oath, for example)...

All valid points,it's just trying to squeeze in FC and FCR can be difficult at times. I have found if I have HLL on my weapon and confidance being used that even when I am hit with lethal poisen I can survive through it. I am not aiming this towards the new mobs for the artifacts but just as a general statement. I figure depending on what your hunting you can adjust your outfit accordingly, and the orange petals can be applied while your holding a two handed weapon which you can not do with potions. In the best case situations having FC and FCR would be ideal, in fact I just purchased a very nice bracelet with those mods on them along with some other nice tid bits. Just have to now find a ring to go with it. Going to even use a bless deed on it since it will never wear out.

I got 1 FC on my shield, 1 FC on my ring and 2 FC on my bracelet (orny). You also can get 1 FC as city bonus. In this case you needn't orny.

How many HHL need for this build?
120 Mace
120 Tactics
120 Anatomy
120 Chivalry
120 Resisting Spells
120 Parry
I can use Close wounds?
And, how can I best allocate stats?

You need 90-100 HLL. Since you reforge HLL you can't reforge HML so you need slow heavy weapon to leach enough mana. You also need SSI on your suit to get 1.25s with this weapon.

Stats without potions:
130 STR (140 HP)
125 DEX (165 Stamina)
75 Mana

With 165 Stamina you usually are able to keep it above 150 for max swing speed. When you fight agains hard bosses you use potions to get 150 STR (150 HP) and 150 DEX (190 Stamina). With 190 Stamina you can keepp it above 150 even against hard hitting opponents.

With 120 Resisting Spells you usually lose only 40 mana when mana drained. 35 mana is enough for AI.

Yes with chivalry you can use close wounds, plus if you disarm shield with hot key, you can chug a greater heal. I would suggest using some FC/FCR for casting faster. I would suggest also to add
some str and dex to your ring and braclet, and add some DI to help max out damage. Make sure to use specific weapons like dragon slayer weapons for max damage possible since your not using
Bushido. Lastly as far as stats I would beef up str and dex since with this set up mana is not as important, but I would still try and get to 40 LMC and some mana increase on your armour. Depending on
what your fighting you may want different types of armour.

With EOO you get max damage bonus when use greater slayer (Reptile, Elemental, etc).
You can get 35 DI, 5 HCI, 15 DCI, 1 FC on your shield. Add here 20 DI, 15 HCI from DF and you will need only 45 DI (on your weapon) and 25 HCI (on your armor). You can get some DCI on misc slots (slither, garb, tangle, corgul, quiver) and 15 DCI on your shield. You can reinforce your armor to increase resistances cap and decrease DCI cap. In this case you will needn't DCI on your jewels or may be need 15 DCI (if you haven't slither and use crimson + void). So you can use Orny + a ring with 1 FC, 3 FCR, 15 DCI, 5 SSI and some stats or skill points.

Resume:
With reforged shield and armor you can max DI, DCI, HCI without jewels. So you can use jewels to get FC, FCR, skills and stats.

225 stat cap or am I wrong?

mace & shield 10+5
tangle 10
lt sash 5
quiver 5
40 mana on armor

so you can get
120+10 str
115+10 dex
25+15 int (+40 mana = 80 mana)
and this even without stats on jewels
