Chickens

I haven't been able to find any information on this and I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it but when I hatch my chickens they are teleported outside under my house sign. Is this normal? Had a yellow Battle Chicken hatch yesterday and had to chase it around Vesper to collar the little fellow. LOL.

Yes they made a change that battle chickens are moved out of the house as soon you hatch them.

But.. that's where my farm is.

There's nothing like being thrown out of the immersion to satisfy some arbitrary game mechanic. "Well, I do breed and raise chickens here but I think I'll just teleport into the middle of an open field to hatch the eggs to give the chicks a sporting chance at running away."

Like people aren't just going to use NPC houses or one of those tiny islands now?

Private house? I am just trying to get to the bottom of this issue.

Yes, it was set to private. I tried it first on my other account which has a castle and the chic got the boot. So figured it may be that I wasn't the owner so took the yellow egg to my keep in Vesper. It is set to private also. And the chic was immediately kicked out upon hatching. I may take some good advice and hatch the next egg on a small island, lol.

Both houses have been set to private since before SA was released and the eggs used to hatch just fine and stayed inside. It's just in the past few days that they have been getting moved under the house sign.

The colors are strong yellow, strong cyan, 2 purples, Apagate, and cyan...

Those are purples? They look pink to me, but then so do most shades of red...

yes they look pink... but... I haven't seen any hiyru come in pink only purple.. so it should be purple.. lol

They look pink to me also. But, there is no pink in the hyru colors. Purple does come closest.

I cant tell what colors the Chicken Rancher above me has either.

the pink eggs come out as the hiryu color like a pink/purple

Get your battle chicken egg and a colar and can go to a few places. There is the south end of moonglow isle in the fenced fields or the Yew pen with the sheep. There are small isles like dot and blanche or the many small SE isles. There is the stalls at many the stables. Yet to try it on a boat.

I opened one of the purples in my public house. It just stood next to me in one spot and spun around slowly.

Tamed on on the first try. It looks like the one in Devils Own's post.

Hatching them in your own public house does not cause them to bolt. As of now.

that was my very first egg, and it acted the same (in a public house) as yours, Pawain, except that it took more than ten attempts at taming it.... was sure I read somewhere that they took no taming at all and anyone could tame on first attempt
