Charactor Eval is screwed up or something

So on GL i made a char with scribe, poison, mage eval etc etc

so he's a focused mage

have 30sdi on my suit

i flamestrike myself uncursed for 12 dmg...

i have 100 base eval with 20 skill bonus

i tried taking the skill off and back on, logging in and out

tried killing myself... no luck!

Also just tried stoning off eval from another char onto this one... didn't help.


its like my eval suddenly doesn't work (worked last night)


waiting for a gm... we all know how long that takes.

Having focus on your char with nullify the sdi on a pure. (found this out the hard way as my extra 20 points were in focus. Crystalline ring put me over the 29.9 cap.)

Does focus really nullify the SDI bonus? That's pretty dumb because SS doesn't.

It was also not in patch notes.

Focus or no focus his damage should be higher than twelve.

and yea i dont have focus on. my dmg is the same with and without eval on, like it isnt recognized.

Are you having the same issues with other chars on different or the same server?

On a side note I find it amazing that I, a person who play's a dexxer due to my gimp mage skills, can clearly see the OP's issue while other people who claim to be PvP mage gods don't....just my two cents.

Nope no issue on other chars on the same server or account. Just this one.

Wow, that is a stumper. I guess you can now try swapping off skills to your stone and seeing if that helps.

I wonder if you take the extra SDI items off if that helps?

Yeah Cetric, this problem seems familiar, like I've read it before here...this is the whole, "just turn the computer off and back on" solution, but maybe soulstone both magery and evalint off then back on. Hm.

Only glitch I've seen so far is I had EoO toggled on last night, logged in and it said everything else would hit me for 10% rather than 100% damage. Recasted it and it said 100% like normal (doh).

Soo..

I tried soulstoning everything off and added one skill at a time to magery/eval, no dice.

Tried this naked with regs.. no luck.


Tried working eval up to about 70 and checking, didn't raise my damage.




oh and i tried submitting a gm request again.. i had to run, but a few hours later i had an email stating he responded but it appeared i was offline now.. lol

i heard through the grapevine that if ea detects hax on ur machine it defaults you to min SDI

Also, just for the hell of it i just tried to copy the char to test. But the option for test center is greyed out in the menu.....

This problem is the kind of problem I expect Tina or Petra to know how to fix ;P. I did a really half ass search for you and didn't find the thread yet ;/.

Stone both magery and eval first, retrieve myst and focus, test that it works, stone both myst and focus, then retrieve magery and eval.

Lol... works when i have focus on.. dropped focus and it goes back to junk...

Its like somehow magery is depending on focus instead of eval

ok this works now.. i put focus back on, casted netherbolt on myself, then casted magic arrow on myself (was 2 dmg) so looked fixed, took focus off, put eval on.. flamestruck myself for 35

It's probably just a character specific thing kinda like people that were permanently stuck in horrific beast form while human(skeet mageet) the only way he fixed it was by deletion (which I'm still nott sure why he did it), or take our guildy Star that was stuck in Wraith form. I remember she couldn't be bleed and her resists were altered in human form. I think it fixed itself after a publish.

Some of your info got flip flopped on their side I'd say. Good luck paging!

Have you tried moving all your skills to a different character yet?
