Character Bugged? Gains screwed up?

After reading stratics for a few years I've finally had to post.

I've got a problem... been training imbuing.. going well till now.
I'm @102.8 and am not getting gains, I am however getting strength and intelligence gains. I only have 250 skill points on this guy, Imbuing set to go up, all other skills locked. I have eaten a 115 scroll.

Now is this normal to get stat gains but not get imbuing gains?
I thought the only time you could get a stat gain is with a skill gain.

Someone please let me know if I am wrong about this or what I should do.

Over 100 you can certainly get some long spans of no gains ... more than a few times I started to get a little discouraged. If you've double-checked your arrows and your caps, all you can do is keep plugging away (although it might be a good idea to move around from time to time - the "RNG is stuck" legend apparently has some truth to it)

(also, it's a good idea to keep a skill tutor just to make sure your difficulty is in the optimal range)

That's all I can think of ... if it doesn't help, maybe someone else will have a flash of insight?

I would believe that every skill has it stuck points...Taming is worse of all...the higher you get the harder it is...

I've found that since SA you have to be fighting something that has a weapon skill no less than 20.0 below your tactics to gain. Go fight something with 120 wrestle and see if that doesn't at least get your GGS.

Is your character gargoyle or human? Are you training on homemade soulforge or the one in town?

Depending on those 2 question, you will need to tweak your % of success with each imbune attempt to be at around 56-58. I have not failed to gain from a batch of 160-180 residue until I actually hit 118. But 56-58*% success chance is based on eating a 120 instead of 115 so you might need to tweak your best %.

It is better to use a human char training on a homemade soulforge so you can get the same success % using less material.

I may have led you all down the wrong path... I guess I am still getting gains.. though they have slowed tremendously (which was expected).

My main concern was the fact I was getting STAT gains w/o an accompanying skill gain.

It's not that I don't want the Stat gain but I was under the impression you could only gain a STAT if you got a gain in a skill (or in the case the skill is maxed you would have gained in it had it not been maxed).

I've gotten 9 STAT gains w/o a skill gain. All skills are locked except imbuing.
This is the part that seems abnormal to me.

It may be that you are "gaining" in a locked skill, which qualifies you for a stat gain, but because your skill is locked, it is not going up, only the stat.

It also may be that stat gain is broken
