Changing Accounts to Free

I've decided after reading all the messages in the anti-bot thread to change my accounts to free. I have an account that is 840 days entitled. Do I need to create a sim in TC with that account before amnesty to get my skill locks or will any sim I create afterward have the skill locks? It's not worth it to pay $9.99/month. It will be more profitable to me to change both my accounts to free ones, play in TC and buy $20,000 worth of EA Land cash. That's more than I could hope to earn anyway with the limits that they have put on the game already and I don't have to sit there and make jams the whole time I'm playing. I can socialize and have FUN without all the work and play free.

I guess that's what they want 'cause you hear more and more people saying that. I think they want to do away with both skilling and making money in game. And by that time - I am gone. Not to a free account, but gone.

True that. Except I am staying because I don't even make 3k a day. So, it wouldn't be a big difference to me.

I'll be gone from EA Land too but "just in case" they decide this was the dumbest idea ever and change it I'm waiting until amnesty! LOL

Only sims created before April 30th will receive amnesty entitlements, all sims created after that date will receive the updated amounts listed in this post. If you change your accounts to free you will also only have access to one sim that you have in each city, so be sure your primaries are set to the sim you want to keep. You also will no longer accumulate locks as a free player after you are issued the ones you are entitled to with amnesty. Amnesty is giving premium accounts more anniversary gifts than one per city, so personally I think not sticking around until at least the 30th is foolish, especially since it would give you a sufficient amount of time to SEE this feature that you are so pissed about and find out if the devs are going to tweak it. But whatever....your decision. Good luck in whatever game you end up playing.
