Not sure where else to put this..but does anyone know what exactly they copy apart from skills and form? Resistances?

They pretty much are duplicates of whomever they are at the time. Though sometimes I think they are "stronger" versions. I've never really noticed a "change" in resistance. I am going to have to say NO on that. I can recall Travisty many times on my Luck Tamer... and I"m pretty certain that whenever Trav was Trilla I certainly wasn't getting any higher damage numbers and at the time Trilla's Luck suit had HORRIBLE resists.

use best weapon item mod used to be excelent when you had on a weapon you did not have skill in used to be that the changeling would copy your skills and weapon and if you had a fenceing weapon equiped with use best and had mace skill you would almost never miss them then that was cool though i think they fixed it... disarm used to have simular results not sure if it still works on them.

Seems like when they copy skills they use all skill minimums at 100% efficiency since monsters can't fail spells. For example, if you have 70 chiv, a changeling will cast Holy Light (55) a lot. If you tried to cast Holy Light @ 70 chiv you'd fail most of the time, but the changeling won't. If you have 100 necro (sampire) the changeling will often use Strangle (65). You are, indeed, your worst enemy.

I'm not sure how changelings gain armor ratings. Their natural form is definitely weaker. If you can sick a dragon on one and then invis yourself, you'll end up with a dead changeling much faster than if you allow the changeling to change form. I'd assume a stealth tamer is probably the best for the Weald in general.
