Changed race to gargoyle and cant equip a Gargish Battle Axe

Have tried loggin out and back in and still cannot equip gargy battle axe, i seem to be able to equip any other gargy item though
any thoughts? its a female gargy if that matters

I'm afraid not. The only requirements I'm aware of are minimum strength 35 and both hands empty
