Catalog of unique spots on Siege

Greetings and salutations,

The EMs have been tasked by our red robed overlords to assemble a catalog of the "blessed" areas of each shard that are unique to the shard. For those playing along at home, this means that we are looking for GM placed towns and items around the shard.

The EMs are working to compile these lists but we need your help. Many of these places were created years ago and have slowly been forgotten (or quickly forgotten if we thought it was ugly). We are asking for y'all to give us a hand and post coordinates of these areas in this thread such as blessed establishments, towns, memorials etc...

Thank you in advance for your help!

Why else would they want to know? The only places I know of look like GM's
houses. I am sure they can find them on their own.

Cheers!

Seems like a lot of work for a lousy 3% of your player base.

Shouldn't you people be working on fishtanks or personal attendants or something similar which has added so much to our gameplay?

They will be kicking up a new batch of EM run events and that is why Glam has posted on UO Hall and every shard forum this morning to acquire assistance etc. Little cooperation with Siege info. here, is all Glam is looking for.

Not sure Siege has any *blessed* player run towns/establishment, since Siege was created in 99 and I think they GMs etc. all quit blessing player run towns in 98. I know all of PaxLair on Ches. is blessed even Lord Brit was there in person back in 98. (I think we killed him, twas felucca) haha Maybe we can get em all to bless Iantown, WispwoodShire, and Wintermoor, Safe Haven, as older player run towns, & toss in some of the newer ones too.

Although we do have that stuff ..whatever it was for in Serp. Hold that I have not seen on any other shard...the sparklie thingies, but those are not player run things ! hehe

On second thought.... this may not be the case.

I will get the coordinates tonight.

Cheers!

Well, its not GM placed, but is EM placed. North of the Empath Abbey (73o50'N, 47o27'W) is a house Anissa placed. She asked us to contribute resources for a crafters center of some sort. Its been sitting here empty for a long time now. The resources are still there, unused.

Yeah no offense but I agree with Sinister's suspicion. What's the sudden interest? Cause I'm not gonna do some red robe dirty work for free if it's so they can strip shards of invidivuality.

How about the Orc's tree?
I havent been over that way in quite awhile... is it still there?

I would take a run over and look, but I am currently at work.

The shards are not going to be stripped of individuality. We had a case on Lake Superior last year where a publish affected a blessed area that had been around since 98 and we did not have the information to rebuild it properly. There are places that we may not know about as the IGMs that created them no longer work for the company.

In a perfect world everything is 100% documented but rarely is the perfect world itself documented =) We have never attempted to create a master catalog but we believe now is the time to start.

Thanks for your help!

Glam.. I'd PM Kelmo & Sloan (that's their Stratics account names) about some locations. Both of them have rune books marked for giving people new to the shard tours of such locations. I've been on both tours and saw several unique spots.. I just don't know where they are specifically.

I can tell you why I think they want to know

One of the story lines in the current plot (The rat general) got revealed before they were ready by people on Europa going in the exit (which just happened to be one of the unique spots on that shard) and working their way through the new dungeon parts backwards.

I'd say they're wanting to avoid similar, erm, unfortunate happenings?, in the future.

I've got a feeling that our podium outside WBB went walkabout when Inu popped up... think Feyre mentioned something about it, but I'm not in a post-hunting mood right now. Anyway, we had a thingy outside WBB. No, no need to thank me for the detailed description.

I am no UO historian, and have really only ever played on Siege, but I have seen some interestingly labeled houses for historicial purposes. One I can specifically think of is the tiny one near the Moonglow gate that says "first house placed on Siege" or somesuch.

As for special places, there is the Crafter's Pavillion in Britain. I have a rune marked to it. Anissa showed it to us last year. As Pyrite mentions, nothing has been done with it.

There is a memorial of sorts somewhere, I recall it is a nice flowery kind of spot with a marker, and crawling with tons of monsters right around the corner (can't remember, it may be near a champ spawn area in Ilshenar). Is that on all shards or just Siege?

There is that pillar at the gate in Spirit that takes you to the little beach that was used in that paragon harrower thing a year and a half ago or so.

Sloan posted this a while back when we were discussing memorials, not sure where it is:

There are some neat things that look like they might be leftover event stuff on the ground north/east of Yew also, by a river, with a waterfall (actually looked a lot like the spot with that rock above), and nice overlook. Can't remember exactly where.

Also we have a lonely painted AW named Ember wandering around Dagger Island still I think.

Some of the dungeons have books and things on the ground that when I have mentioned them to people in the past they always seem to say, oh those are leftover from an old event and don't do anything anymore.

Obviously this is incredibly vague, but perhaps others may recall specifics, if this is the sort of things they are wanting to find.

Aye that is up by the Justice Shrine/Justice Falls. I keep wondering if some lost soul committed a suicide jump into the water up there over having lost the love of their life or something.

There's a house owned by a past Developer over on Fire Isle. I can't remember which one but its definately grandfathered cause its never fallen. I've been watching it since first coming to Siege since its sitting on my dream house placement site.

Does the arena still have the stable/bank npc there? I seem to remember there was a fuss kicked up some time back when it was removed for some time.

Yea, We (Alt, Pyrite, and I) put almost all of the resources into that little "crafting spot" next to Empath Abbey. If you all decide not to do anything with it (which it seems like you haven't) I would like my resources back with interest please. I'm a siege crafter, I can bargain, but I am not cheap.

I saw some mentions of the Wrong Dueling Arena, but no one gave any directions.

It's right outside the mountain pass that leads to Wrong dungeon:

The last batch of inu crap deleted soemthing we had in brit forever, it was a set of tiered blocks like for 1st place 2nd place and 3rd place that you could stand on right in front of the bank. Unfortunatly i dont think i have any pictures, but it pisses me off they were deleted for that inu crap.

We have a mini dungeon in trinsic. Right by the faction sigil stand I believe. Was put there a hell of a long time ago. Spawns earth eles and fire eles and it is inside the city of trinsic but if you go in you leave the guard zone.

That is one off the top of my head. Might be ore but I will have to remember them.

I think I remember that showing up right at the time of the trinsic invasion. Now that was fun. Is it unique to siege though?

In Brit sewers, theres a door that leads to a room with a moongate (the exit) and a book. The room is also connected to another room with an invulnerable chicken and another moongate, but the door is locked.

And, of course, there's the thing that we DON'T have, but should.
It is impossible to do the collector's quest on Siege, because there is nowhere here to fish up rainbow pearls.

Oh, and there's a lonely looking statue of a ratman somewhere on the grass, south of the Compassion shrine, Ilsh, that I can never remember the purpose of.

Ok so I'm skimming, I just finished reading about Fab's pants in Dola's post, then I skip to spree's post, "the entrance to that dungeon..."

woah! for a second there I thought spree was being really unkind!
