Regain stamina if you run out of refresh pots? I know I would use it to regain stamina...Can't think of any other reasons.I noticed the other day that several dexxer templates were casting "Create Food" at random times. Does anyone know why?
It seems to be an odd technique.....and i'm sure there is a logical explaination.
I guess this might be true in the classic client...been awhile since I used it.Its a faster disarm method for switching weapons.
Faster than the "Switch Last Weapon" macro? (or whatever the macro is called)Its a faster disarm method for switching weapons.
I concur --- it's actually a feasible tactic now. I typically only used two "main" weapons because of the delay....I think I can now do some interesting combos by adding in a third weapon.....MWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA.Its the only fast way to switch to a different weapon if you use more than 2. If you use 2 you can just do equip last, but if you try to bring in a third you have to disarm, wait for the timer, rearm.
Casting the spell disarms the wep and you can rearm right away.
This is a feature the EC client does without needing to cast a spell. Kind of a patch-work workaround for CC users.
The bug you speak of never existed, was just speculation from people who didn't understand why they saw players casting the spells in game. There used to be a bug involving those spells, that would get rid of the double mana cost for chaining special moves. If i remember correctly.
That was fixed long ago, but might be back.
I see no delay with specials, in fact my specials stay lighted no matter what weapon macro I hit...and they perform as well. The dismounting of course, since equipping a weapon and dismounting are two separate actions they require a wait between them.although the weapons switch instantly in the EC, there still seem to be delays relating to specials and dismounting from your horse. this thread has given me some ideas to test later.

1.) You're full of poop, and your post is incorrect.Create food works is not only a fast switch but also creates the opportunity for improved chance to hit on the next shot. It is not just a workaround but also a part of a larger bug within the system. Anyone that tells you otherwise is full of poop.
1.) You're full of poop, and your post is incorrect.
2.) You have no way of proving that, and it doesn't make any sense.
3.) If you were right, which you aren't, you're in violation of the Stratics ROC for telling people how to use a bug to get a better hit chance.
Actually it DOES work, but I am not going to go into the rest of the process because I WOULD be in violation of the RoC. However, seeing how you are such a stickler for the rules...go ahead and be a ******bag and report me.1.) You're full of poop, and your post is incorrect.

I can do more than 40 AIs on my sampire without casting anythingThe players that complained that creating food would allow somebody to fire 20+ armor ignores in a row I believe is a myth. They just had there ssi timing figured out and damn good suits.
I was always under the impression that dexxers were using this specifically to avoid that little delay when switching weapons.. To use the special on switched weapon.. (Not really to Arm/Disarm, more to Bug out the timer that is unavoidable in any other way [I believe])Depends on your definition of bug I suppose. But what you said is only partially true in my opinion. I got into a heated discussion about this a few years ago. As you mentioned it allows you to switch weopons faster but it also disrupts the 3 second cool down timer between special abilities but in most cases the second it takes to cast create food, re-arm, and fire usally takes 3 seconds anyway
No annoying targeting cursor. Thats the only reason I use it.Curious though, why create food? Why not night sight, etc.? Same difference, no?
Good point. Makes sense. No annoying targeting cursor. Thats the only reason I use it.
I remember UOA doing this for you, not sure of the exact delay but I would sometimes get a message like - UoAssist attempting to complete the action for you - which was pretty handy since you wouldn't get the annoying must wait to perform another action message. Its a faster disarm method for switching weapons.
Because it does not require you to target anything.Curious though, why create food? Why not night sight, etc.? Same difference, no?
