Or are we just stuck with rectangular carpets only?
I tried using the corner pieces in existence on top of overlapping edges.. the corner pieces have a black border that stands out severely bold, and won't work. And I can't put obstructing objects on every corner of my keep (keeps do have non-square rooms.)I think this is a job for strategically place deco.
I suppose it's possible to set up a loom for a T-shaped result, but I don't think I've ever seen one in real life.
I'm not sure what the frills would actually look like - they'd ever have to overlap or have some crazy curve to it that bunched up the threads.
Yes well I'm sorry to say this but that looks like crap. I wouldn't have my carpet at home look like that.... don't want it to look like that ingame. I want it to look "finished" ... Call me picky if you like and yes I am a perfectionist... so no I don't want it to look like that.Use two opposite facing sides to make the interior corner, like for a northwest inside corner you would use a north and west side pieces. Stand on the tile where they are to go and say "i wish to place a trash barrel" Put both pieces in the trash and axe it. You will still need to double click to lock them both down even tho they don't highlight yellow.
It's a workaround and the closest substitute for an actual inside corner that I could find. I would prefer inside corners as well.Yes well I'm sorry to say this but that looks like crap. I would also like the missing tiles for the various custom sets. There is a woeful lack of archways and we didn't even get any new roofs this expansion (much less any finishing bits for roofs). To me not having them simply because the art doesn't exist is a cop out... honestly... 99% of things in UO are half done... how many tile sets in the housing menu have NO corners? How many tile sets sit half done? Without proper edging? I get annoyed because half the tiles don't have corner pieces. Inside or outside. Half the arches are missing some of the facings. No south east double corner...
I think I can imagine quite well what could be done with a system like that. Legos were my favorite toy as a kid.Same as stairs should give us all the tools to build a staircase from each block somewhat like roof tiles... up one two three four... get the picture? Imagine what you could do with a system like that? Want a platform? NO more goza mess.
Oh here we go, you are equating me trying to help someone with a workaround as being a pom pom waver? I have an idea, next time you are stranded on the side of the road with a flat maybe don't consider your spare tire a "workaround" and bemoan the fact that you don't have a regular tire to stick on instead. I am someone who gets things done if I can, not someone who sits around and waffles when things don't go my way. It is a fundamental part of who I am, and I'm sorry you see it as "pom pom waving". I personally find that crying on the boards each week for replacement tiles versus doing write ups or mentioning when I can and when it's appropriate about the things I would like to see fixed is a waste of energy and time.*sighs*... why all you pom pom wavers support half a** work I'll never know. You know you let them continue to be lazy like they are and it will only continue... demanding they finish what they start is just keeping them in line.
If playing UO is that frustrating for you then take a break or quit. Unless you like being frustrated. *shrugs*Sick and tired of all the lazy excuses. Tired of the dozens of things half done. Tell you what if I did my job as half a** as they do .... I'd kill people.
Hehe, I wouldn't call it "my" workaround, I've seen it a few other places.Sarsmi, is there a piccie of your 'workaround' anywhere on the boards? I'd quite like to see how you've done it.
I think the fringe I was using for the pentagram floors should work. It lines up right to the edge of a tile square, and I think the virtue tiles take up a 2x2 area right on the tile squares right? It's almost the last tile on the menu (for me on Baja), just a strong red color normally, the center piece has four decorative crosses that face either south or east.Sarsmi that looks nice. Is there a fringe that will go around the virtue tiles?
