Can't log in to UO !!!

I am running classic client on Win XP

Computer downloads patch but there is an error in applying patch.

Cannot continue

Cannot log in

No problems with Win firewall

No problem with virus protect software

All was fine before attempted patch

Help - want to play NOW

Try deleting everything in the patch folder and try again. If you still have a problem, shut down all firewalls during the patch.

Hopefully one will work.

I have UO on a computer with XP and I just logged in and it loaded the patch fine.

Thanks for the advice - however tried both and still cant get past error. The patcher says I can "play" without patch but the "ok" button never highlights to allow me to go on. Any other ideas?

Keep deleting and trying.

Delete the patch files, restart your PC, and try again after windows has finished loading.

Find the patch log, one of the files has probably become corrupted. If, as with Kurgan, it's a simple txt file, we can probably provide an uncorrupted replacement file for you.

yes, but now we know where the error lies - and unfortunately it's in the client.exe itself
I'm no expert, but I've a feeling that one's going to need a re-install.
