No. It was decided by the shard that we do not want two forums.

Yup...we had the trade forum, hated it. A Stratics admin generated a poll, which ran for a long time, and after large majority voted to get rid of it, they did.

Well when there was an actual substantial community posting, the feeling was different.

I was one, among others, who tried to use the trade forum when it was introduced. It was awkward, dead, and I was glad to see it go.

If the ads are only in that forum...people will find it. Doesn't matter really, it won't change under the current management, their minds are made up. No matter how dumb it seems...la

It wasn't a management decision, it was the poster's decision.

Siege got a trade forum along with all the other shards at the same time.

The Siege players had always done their buying and selling on the main board and refused to use it. Stratics admins took note of majority opinion and removed it.

well, maybe 'always' is an exaggeration. Long enough for it to have become a habit anyway. The rest of what I said stands, it was the posters' decision, not the admins.

And I remember that The Scoundrel Rico was legendary as a thief when I was a mere newbie.

I recall a few years back when the Siege forum was pretty much moderated by the posters...board pvp was a daily occurance...and there was little to no item or account sales on the board.

I'd rather see the trading done on a trade board, let this forum be used for shard discussions, not the shard Ebay site...la

I agree but sadly if there was no buying/selling threads the forum would be bare...It makes no sense at all that theres not a seperate forum for buy/sell...when every server does and the asia even have one!!!And there servers are deader than ours...something smells fishy to me...

I suppose the activity would increase if the board PvP was allowed to develop more before getting shut down. We are supposed to be on a more difficult shard, the people posting here should be able to deal post sparring, if they can't maybe Siege isn't the shard for them.

Maybe the Siege Perilous forum, should have a different ruleset like the shard does compared to the the production shards.

It seems too many people here have really thin skin...and no sense of humor...la

LOL, what discussions? Except for the same half dozen or so people posting with the same recycled "PvP" posts, if people didn't post on the shard forum dumping their accounts and other junk for sale, I think the board would be as dead as the trade forum before we finally got it killed and put out of its misery.

We have to step in when people descend to name calling, which breaks RoC. If you want a thread to stay active use a bit more 'logical reasoned argument' and a lot less 'mommy he called me a nasty name'.

It is possible, we had a 7 page thread not long before the boards crashed.

That's what I'm saying. Is it really that big a deal if names are called? Let's get Siege to have a little more liberal ruleset on the forums, as we have on the server itself. Let the board PvP continue.

But I don't think we can change the rules just for this forum without moving it from the shard list and putting it with 'no holds barred'.

You're not telling me you don't have the intelligence, vocabulary and imagination to board pvp without name calling are you?
