Can we fix renowneds

This is the third time ive been down in the cavern killing the ratmen for the ingredients and there is only one spawning. Now either someone had led the damn renowned WAY WAY off because i searched for a bit then just got pissed and went back to wait for the other one, or its just flat out broken.

Everytime this happens im in the damn queue for hours this time ive been in for hour 10 minutes and im still at number 11. If its people leading them off can we make the renowns like champs at spawns? Where if lead off to far they pop back.

This is extremely annoying as the cavern drops so many ingredients. When only one is spawning its a joke.

That, I think, you have to submit to the bugs department. I doubt a GM will help you. I called em one day about the fiends not spawning AT ALL and they sent me the same old message about submitting it via the web.

I have farmed them quite a bit, it seems to be game mechanics, intentional or otherwise. I have actually only seen three clans spawn at once one time. usually 2 clans at a time. Occaisionally one. It continues that way from server up to server down. I suspect that since that particular spawn is so lucrative with ingredients, they may have done this on purpose. But you know what they say... opinions are like ^&*(%'s ; everybody's got one and most of em stink.

Thats the problems with (fake) ingame GM's they don't want to help.I like the good old days when you paged a GM you got a GM and Useally in person...Not like this don't tell me submit it thing...

Yepper...I feel ya! It sucks royally after waiting for HOURS (literally)

There's nothing a GM can do about the Cavern of the Discarded spawn problem, that's an issue the devs need to address.

Paging about it only bogs down the system further making the waits longer and longer for everyone.

The Cavern is broken, no argument there, but paging isn't going to do JACK. The devs NEED to get it fixed on several different levels:

- Lured spawn should teleport back into their area after a certain timeframe/range
- Creatures that are lured away and despawn should RESET the system, not break it until server down
- Loot on ratman renowned is (obviously) beyond pathetic which leads to the initial problem of luring away and breaking the spawn.

All they need to do is just the last thing you mention. Fix the loot n the renown to be wanted. Then instead of players luring it away or avoiding it all together they will actually want them to spawn and will continously kill them.

You forget that people play with the intention of borking up systems "just because they can". It's an issue that should be FULLY addressed. Also addresses issues that are not limited to just the ratman area but to other mini-champ spawns as well.

The problem it looks like the dev intended the abyss to be different. As a vocal number were complainig of monsters spawning in the same area. So they made it so the whole abyss is the battleground for the battles.

In that case they wll need creatures to wonder from the original spawn area to keep things dynamic. The problem is no one wants to fight them.
In order to keep the spirit of what was intended they will need to make them desireble. With many people farming them the grifers won't be able to hide the renown. As it stands now nobody will lift a fnger to kill and go after the renown if it doesn't effect them. Though with good loot everyone in the abyss will be looking for any renown they run into to kill them and not just avoid them if that is not a spawn they are workin on.

Like I say a challenge is only good for the first kill. But without reward to do them again worth the effort then the creature will go to waste like many of the old school monsters.

The creatures on their own don;t tend to wander too far from their general area unless they are led by other players.

To give a rundown of the three points and the reasoning:

1. (Teleportation back to "home") Not only does this cause the spawn in the given area to stall, it also allows people to drag around the renowned pixie to "mop up" (so to speak) the other spawns which I HIGHLY doubt was the intention of creating the renowned pixie to begin with. (Also note this is a much needed change for Treasure Map areas as well, so it's not just an Abyss thing, but other special situations need this code right now)

2. (Force Spawn Cycle): Each creature is on a timer, if they are not interacted with in that given time frame, they cycle out (despawn). This was because of people trapping creatures in their homes LONG before Trammel came out. When this happens to one of the mini-shamp spawn mobs, it breaks the spawn system rendering it non-functional until the server restarts. When such a mob disappears, it should force the spawn to cycle, not break it completely.

3. Renowned loot: self explanitory really. If people really are luring off the renowned in an attempt to continue farming, they're doing themselves and the rest of the server a disservice. However, even a loot upgrade doesn't solve the issues of 1 and 2 above.

Renowns at VERY least need to have 100% chance of one ingredient, and a chance for more.

On Napa one of the goblins is stuck behind a rock...spawns dead. I'm in the line but lets see how long and what results I get...sigh.
