can tamed reps have a buff please?

Im in agreement with giving tamed reps something that will make them more useful as a pet. As it is at the moment a fully trained reptalon is a poor sidekick for a tamer, maybe reduce there control slot requirment to 3 instead of 4, at least that way they can hunt with another pet - bake/mare etc.
If they did nothing more that reduce the control slots to two, then I would indeed think differently about my "Token Reptalon"
I agree. The poor beast is nearly worthless otherwise.

I'd like one of two things:
A. a unique ability to make them worth four slots (my current thoughts are add a flying ability like Gargoyles will have so that humans can get to the gargoyle areas).
B. reduce to three control slots without any nerfing.
A is preferable to B, but I;d be happy with either.

Please please please please please fix reptalons! Or re-imburse me for the number of times a Rend killed me during taming attempts. 100 gold per time sounds fair.... so that adds up to about 5 million gold. Thanks!

Something along the lines of Reflect Fire Damage 50%, which would also hit the tamer controlling it if they're within 5 tiles?Nobody has suggested killing two birds with one stone and making them an anti-dragon weapon?
Add me to the Raptalons need a boost movement. How about we all go and submit questions to the FoF about this and keep up a steady deluge until this is addressed!

Why are we resurrecting dead posts?
I suppose you want someone to acknowledge your desire to have better pets... and while we all know the rep stinks... I doubt they will listen.
Though I must agree that it does need a buff or to be reduced to 2 slots considering that otherwise as a pet it's completely worthless... but now so is my unicorn.
I would like to see Unicorns given some sort of buff or at least updated to spawn in a variety of colors, like the Hiryu and Cu do... It would at least add some variety to them and give folk a reason to use one again. I'd also like to see them look more like a smaller version on Dreadhorn.... than the way they look now like an underfed horse with a blue tail/mane and a horn. I think they should look much more like Dreadhorn... Only somewhat smaller and in a variety of colors.

how about tweaking they're damage output, you know how they scaled back the greater dragons recently... find the aggression knob and crank that sucker up.. and leave em @ 4 slots ?

I just tamed a new Reptalon since I moved shard recently. Near max STR and HP and all resists close to max. Still completely useless. Hit slower and does less damage than a nightmare that require HALF the slots, not to mention dragons or dread warhorses at 3 slots.
Dex is still broken, they swing slower than any other pet at the same dex and wrestling.
Resists are still broken, they still take more damage than any other pet with the same resists.

I finally released my rep. No sense hanging onto something that's been useless for 4 yrs. That stable slot is better used for a squirrel or something....

I know this is an old post but i would just like to give my support on reptalons as well, something needs to happen and we all pay a monthly fee, dont let the thread die!!! lol
Bumb for all the useless pets out there, we must storm EA's headquarters and demand that the Reps become useful! And the Skree... and tamable fairy dragons...
Going through all the effort and time to tame one of these things was my biggest waste of UO time ever. Please give reptalons a little love!

My reptalon is named Zazou and i forgot i had him until now. But none of the ideas above seem like they would make them powerful enough, or the suggestions would make other people whine about tamers getting a buff. Dropping these things to 2 slots since mare are more useful and take 2 slots is the one that makes most sense to me.
I do love Zazou though so add me to the list of people that think reps need some love

They should make them a special flying rideable mount for gargoyles and let them fire breath while mounted. (& general buffs)

I agree... they nerfed them because everyone complained.. now they are obsolete... they need to just go back to what it was and for gods sake... stop nerfing everything. Drives me nuts!My suggestion would be to restore their original abilities, as well as possibly drop them to 3 control slots.

I always thought, and have suggested in other threads, that the reptalon be given the ability to parry blows and the bushido power of counterattack.
Plus, restore the some or all damage, swing speed, and resists.

Those all atleast could use some tweaking. Very little use for them.
Runebeetle and nightmare together are still pretty working combination, makes whole lot more damage then single GD or cu sidhe.

Yea baby, Lets fix those ****ing repteleons cause god knows over powered tamer pvpers dont have enough critter choices already. I mean **** lets give them back thier nerve strike attack cause it really is too difficult for the tamer/dexer to do his own nerve strike. You might as well give the thing back it's 50 point fire breath as well so it can alternate nerve strikeing and fire breath. Then the tame really just has to say all kill and watch.

Tamers aren't overpowered, they're just a class that most PvPers' template aren't designed to handle. It's your own template flaw, and they're capitalizing on it.
If someone made a mage for fighting other mages, and left off any weapon skill to use the points else-where, they would have no basis for complaining that fighters are overpowered.
...or anyone fighting a necro/mage without resist or apples.
