Can someone please settle this argument...

My sister SWEARS that the Marksman set can be obtain from any named ML critter and that Champ boss have started drop the ML set pieces.

I and UOGuide say Marksman can only be obtained from peerless BOSSES.

As for the Champ bosses dropping armor piece I'm thinking one too many whacks to the old coconut from PVP.


Okay so who's right? Am I going to have to PK her to get my point across. (I'd rather not, cause I got other stuff to do in game!)

High-end set pieces drop from Champs. Ilsh and Fel. Also the Doom bosses. This includes both the Marksmen Set items and the Juggernaut Set items.

I did most of the work on both of these sets in the UO Guide, but I keep forgetting to update the articles on this point.

No, not entirely. I've never once heard of high-end set pieces coming from, say, Swoop or Miasma. If you've seen it feel free to point that out.

I recently had Feathernock from an Ilsh Semidar, so I'd say yes on champs, but I don't think they do on named stuff.

Half of each armor set (assassin's, necromancer's, Myrmidon, etc) can be found on any ML creatures. I got my Assassin's tunic from a Bedlam named monster and another named Tunic from Miasma.

I've never heard reports of weapon sets dropping on the named ML monsters, and got my own from Myxkion (one of six "strangers") and Melissa respectively. They can also drop on Crimson Dragons.

I, too, have received set pieces off of swoop. Don't remember which one but some kind of gloves I think.

Neither Swiftflight or Feathernock drop from any but the Peerless bosses, Dark Father, or Champs. The named ML monsters have a chance to drop the non-rare set pieces, but the rare ones are only from boss monsters. Both of the weapon sets and all of the pieces that make them up are considered rare pieces.

I have recieved nearly all of my armour sets from either champ bosses or the named mobs in bedlam (getting keys)

So i would say...yea you can get all the set pieces from all named mobs (although i doubt its going to be frequent), my feathernock came from baracoon.
