Can Siege Rebound?

The slow but steady loss of players on SP was difficult to endure. I finally joined the procession and left about two years ago. I even gave away my primary account. I gave it to someone I knew would not be willing to maintain it and give it back later. I did that to avoid the temptation to return.

So, here I am trying to return anyway, because I miss the challenges that are unique to UO in general and SP in particular. This is a place where people interact in ways that are not found elsewhere. I miss the people.

Yet, the boards remain full of the same commentary. My biggest fear is returning to watch more of that same death march. Yet, as likely as that may be, I think I will have to experience it with whoever sticks around to the end.

Can SP rebound? One of the greatest things about SP may also contribute to its demise. The personal interaction is fantastic. So much so that it is extremely demanding. The demands of the game seem to contribute to the loss of people as much as anything other issue. Which is why so many people go to extreme measures to cut ties here.

I am going to try and find a balance that works. Wish me luck. If I stumble on a secret to renewing the shard, I will let everyone know.

Honestly, i'm going to say no, and it's not because of UO, either. The demise of UO in general, has to do with the mindset of the new gamers. I give SP what time i have available and nothing more. That's my advice to you.

P.S. I just spent another $34.99 on codes from the Origin store.

Siege has an involved and active EM now, that makes a difference.
I don't know whether it can rebound or not. I've not been on the shard as much as I'd like lately. I've not quit it, I'm just very busy right now.

The EM that Siege has needs to mix up what she is doing. Not everyone on SP enjoys planting flowers. There needs to be a good mixture between pvm/pvp events. An actual storyline for RP'ers might help, also.

There is a balance. Ive enjoyed playing through the deadest of times its actually picked up alot in the last year. I find balance in just doing everything pvp/factions, doom, abyss spawns, fel spawns, SA peerlesses, ML peerlesses, upgraded dungeons, fishing, t hunting, and crafting. Its just something new all the time Sprago switch his templates 4-5 times a week normally. What im getting at is dont get caught up in doing the same thing over and over that gets boring UO has so much to do now so mix it up.

P.S. I dare ya to actually get one of every arty out there new and old. and if ya actually accomplish that try it again LOL

Agreed...I have actually started to do some farming in the revamped dungeons and been having fun. I also miss some of the fun fights and such but I think that mainly that was due to the people I was fighting with and those enemies that I was fighting against hehe
